I loved my first year with kids all in school. I shopped, went to lunch, finally got he house all the way clean. The next year...I hated it. I could only sweep the floor so many times, couldn't aford to keep shopping. And going out to lunch was killing the diet! Now I work 8-2. Its nice to have grownups to talk to again.
I have an Uncle that's retired Navy and he and my aunt both worked at Vandenberg for years until they retired and moved. My husband retired from the Air Force before we were married so I never got to travel with him, but my ex was Air Force for 17 years and we were stationed at Carswell, Hickam, Andrews and then Altus, OK. I'm still here in Oklahoma.
By the way, I love your comment about how you are an "eerily normal" stay at home mom!
I just wanted to stop by your page and tell you how glad that we are to have you on our team at TBC! I hope you'll love the team as much as I do.
I see you belong to the Air Force Wives team. My husband is retired Air Force. Where are you stationed at? I'm a stay at home mom too. But mine are both teens. One graduated last May and the other is a freshmen in high school. So I love my alone time during the day!
