Weight Loss IS Just A Side Effect of My Health Quest
I'm Jim Roberson. I'm a 38 year old proud father of 3 boys and husband to a beautiful wife and loving mother named Patty (sp user: paroberson). Married for 16 years, we have both let the years pass by and the weight pile on. Spearheaded by my wonderful wife, we started this health quest journey together on June 10, 2012 for ourselves and (by default) our family as well. I'm Jim Roberson. I'm a 38 year old proud father of 3 boys and husband to a beautiful wife and loving mother named Patty (sp user: paroberson). Married for 16 years, we have both let the years pass by and the weight pile on. Spearheaded by my wonderful wife, we started this health quest journey together on June 10, 2012 for ourselves and (by default) our family as well. We are each other's supporter, motivator, and accountability partner. We have never used a plan as good as SP, have never had this much success, with God all things are possible and we WILL reach our goals! I have always remembered being FAT, so this journey is ALL new to me - WOW what an adventure.

My Goals:
1st Goal set to reach 258 lbs by 10/10/12 SW 310 lbs - 06/10/12 1M 284 lbs - 07/13/12 2M 265 lbs - 08/10/12 RG 257 lbs - 08/31/12 3M 255 lbs - 09/07/12 4M 243 lbs - 10/12/12 5M TBA - 11/9/12 New Goal set to reach 208 lbs by 01/25/13 As of 10/08/12 I have lost 8" in my waist, 4.25" in each thigh, 2" in my upper arms and 1.75" in my neck.
My Program:
Planning out daily dinner SparkPeople Recipe meals a week at a time. Using SparkPeople's diabetic plan of 5 meals a day, so hunger is not an issue with smaller portions. Tracking all nutrients of all food intake and any and all exercise minutes. Staying within my daily recommended macro-nutrient ranges.
Personal Information:
Besides spending quality time with my family, I enjoy playing drums in our church's orchestra and praise band. I have been playing drums for 25 years now, wow I'm getting old! A little over a year from now I will be 40! But with my beautiful wife by my side supporting me and our 13, 7 & 4 year old boys keeping us active then we are determined to get healthy.
Other Information:
My long term goals include getting off all diabetes medications and being more physically active to the point of one day running a 5K! I do not have an ideal weight or BMI I'm trying to reach, I just want to be as healthy as possible.
