Hey, I'm Jamina (obviously), here to finally do something about the weight I've gained over the past few years. I became a member a while back and at the time couldn't get into it. I've always had self esteem issues and never really thought I was worth it. In the last couple of years though, it's become increasingly evident that I NEED to do something about my weight- my mom is diabetic and it got so bad that she now has to use a walker, and in Dec. 2010 I suddenly started losing feeling in my feet and arms. I wound up in the hospital where they ran test after test, but nothing was ever found to explain what was happening to me. My boyfriend and I have a theory that it somehow involves my weight, so I started eating better and walking a bit more and lost 3 lbs. prior to rejoining SparkPeople. This time it will work, and I will finally wear a bathing suit without a tshirt over it!

Pain is temporary, quitting is forever. It can be done!

My Goals:
Overall, I just want to wear a bathing suit and not cry when I look in the mirror. I also want to be healthier and more energetic so that my dancing abilities improve. And it'd be nice to have my boyfriend say "yowza"

My Program:
*WORKOUTS
~Biggest Loser Cardio Max 4-5 days/week
~Biggest Loser Power Sculpt 4-5 days/week
~Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout 6 days/week
All for 6 weeks as per the preset programs on each DVD
~Walking/ running (I plan to do a 5K this year, my first one!)
*FOODS
~Eat between 1270-1500 or so calories/day, whatever SP recommends
~Make sure I get plenty of protein to fuel my weight training
~Cook my own food as often as possible, utilizing SparkRecipes and whatever other recipes I come across

Personal Information:
I'm from Kenner, LA, which is pretty close to New Orleans. I've taught dance for 11 years, specializing in tap dance, and I'm very much a computer and art geek who is currently looking for a job. Till I do, that's where my weight loss comes in!

Other Information:
I want that Cinderella moment, when the room stops to look in awe as I walk in. It's my favorite movie, and that's only one reason why.
