I started in Jan. 2006 with walking, training for the 1st Charity Chase Half Marathon. Then we did the Myrtle Beach Half in Feb. '07, which I ended up walking due to an injury.
We took about a year off, and have been on and off since then. I did not do another half until last year in the Spring. This year I am registered for two, and it will be three if I do the Savannah race.
That heart condition sounds scary. I hope you get cleared for training. Remember - even if you walk it, it is still the same distance!
