Downsizing Me...
I started on sparkpeople with the hopes of getting healthy and getting into shape because my father had just had a small heart attack and had to have emergency quintuple bypass and he got diagnosed as a diabetic as well. I still think that was a great reason to start sparkpeople but now I want more. Now I am on here for me because I want to change. Even though I wanted to change before, after my dad's surgery, my life was really put into perspective. Now, I don't just want to do it ...
I started on sparkpeople with the hopes of getting healthy and getting into shape because my father had just had a small heart attack and had to have emergency quintuple bypass and he got diagnosed as a diabetic as well. I still think that was a great reason to start sparkpeople but now I want more. Now I am on here for me because I want to change. Even though I wanted to change before, after my dad's surgery, my life was really put into perspective. Now, I don't just want to do it to prevent the issues he has had but also to just be able to walk in the store without my back hurting or be able to do something with my husband without having to stop and rest of without having to be basically dragged behind because I walk slower and am winded. I want to be able to show the girls I am working with (I am an all star cheer coach) how to do a handstand or how to do a cartwheel and toe touch and not just explain how to do it. I want to be able to teach them a dance without being so tired I want to pass out. Now, if for some reason I needed to run I want to believe that I could do it. Now, I want to be motivating factor in people's lives. I want to show people that I can do and because I can do it they can do it too! I want this most of all for me and my health. I want to be able to look back and say I did this and I am very proud of myself. I want to be happy with myself. I want to have it all! I will have it all!

My Goals:
I would love to be able to walk without my back hurting even though it's better. I would like to look better in clothes as well as with no clothes. I would like to be motivating for others around me.
My Program:
My program is just eating less processed foods and more veggies. I work out (I try to at least 3 times a week but it's a struggle sometimes that I am also working on) and I am on Weight Watchers. Portion control is so huge for me. I am not great at it so it's what I am working on.
Personal Information:
My name is Jamie. I am a Licensed Massage therapist but I am always trying to find something else that I enjoy more. Right now I have found that I love being a housewife because it gives me the time without feeling stressed to clean the house, cook dinner, and also exercise. I do not have a car because my husband drives it to work but if I really need to do something I have a walgreens and a bank very close by so i don't have to go far and walking is good for me anway.
Other Information:
I deal with anxiety/panic attacks and phobias. I have been working on those and have got them under control for the most part but there are times when I would rather stay home than be somewhere because I know it will be triggering. I have to work on it but I am a lot better than before.
