A renewed beginning, still.

I continue on a long, long plateau and I think I believe my skin has caught up to the loss of fat.:) I have lost inches & people are commenting on that but I would like to see that scale take another little drop. I am not looking for the ideal weight but I am looking for a weight that I can be comfortable with. My goal did have a long term date involved but I will re-set as the time comes near. So let's just say I am a work in progress and I am enjoying life to the fullest right now. I have ...
I have had several set backs with my health & disabilities but I am working on doing a little pushing! Pools & water are my love but I have to wait to go south. Then I am setting a goal of water exercises at least 5 days a week and a little cycling in the exercise room 2-4 days a week. This is my winter time goals!! I CAN do it!!

My current losses:
1. 4/1/10 my 1st long term goal has been made of a 50# loss before my goal date of 10/19/10!!!
2. On 7/29/10 I reached my ultimate goal of 67#. (Actually 68#).
3. I am starting on my 2nd long term of another 50#, adding it too my weight tickertape and am setting 7/29/11 as the date again. (This is subject to change!!)

I am so thrilled to have gotten this far and hope that I can con't. to stay on a healthy path of life.

Yes, the burros have the right of way in Cripple Creek! You see them grazing along the streets in residential neighborhoods and sometimes on the main street, like we saw them today. It is quite the novel idea to honor their mining history!

Oh my, Eileen. It sounds like your Mom is one stubborn lady, and do I ever know what that's like!!! Mine is the same way. Before too long, everything here will be an argument of one kind or another. My Mom fell on Tuesday, but thank the good Lord, she didn't break anything. Just skinned her arm up pretty good. She finally agreed that she should be using the walker, although in truth, it probably wouldn't have helped the other day, as she missed a step. Regardless, I totally understand how hard it is to give up their independence and ability to do things for themselves, but sometimes they just have to face reality. I'm sure we'll be the same way at some point!! Wishing you (and your Mom) well!! Hugs, Jeannie
