A renewed beginning, still.

I continue on a long, long plateau and I think I believe my skin has caught up to the loss of fat.:) I have lost inches & people are commenting on that but I would like to see that scale take another little drop. I am not looking for the ideal weight but I am looking for a weight that I can be comfortable with. My goal did have a long term date involved but I will re-set as the time comes near. So let's just say I am a work in progress and I am enjoying life to the fullest right now. I have had several set backs with my health & disabilities but I am working on doing a little pushing! Pools & water are my love but I have to wait to go south. Then I am setting a goal of water exercises at least 5 days a week and a little cycling in the exercise room 2-4 days a week. This is my winter time goals!! I CAN do it!!

My current losses:
1. 4/1/10 my 1st long term goal has been made of a 50# loss before my goal date of 10/19/10!!!
2. On 7/29/10 I reached my ultimate goal of 67#. (Actually 68#).
3. I am starting on my 2nd long term of another 50#, adding it too my weight tickertape and am setting 7/29/11 as the date again. (This is subject to change!!)

I am so thrilled to have gotten this far and hope that I can con't. to stay on a healthy path of life.

I will also make ahead of time and store in the fridge as you do. It just works when you are running low on time! Talk soon! Hugs, Rose:) emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

They say the people who exhibit the most kindness
have experienced a lot of pain.
The ones who act like they don't need love
are the ones who need it more.
The ones who take care of everyone else
need care the most.
And the people who smile
may be the ones who cry when nobody is around.

Glad your Mom is in therapy and that it is close by your home. That makes things a little easier. When we were there last winter and I was going 3X/week, we had to drive over to the area of Renaissance, which became an entire afternoon of driving, therapy, and more driving! LOL! Sure hope it helps your Mom. Mime is doing pretty well after her fall. She also is reluctant to do much moving, and resents having anyone tell her differently. I just stopped trying, as it was causing too much conflict. I will go with her to her doctor's appt. next week, but I doubt if it is particularly fruitful, as Mom is actually pretty stable medically speaking, and she tends to exaggerate her activities to the doc. What are you gonna do? Just keep trying, I guess. Meanwhile, my Sis, who is in a nursing home nearby my Mom just keeps on trucking. She's been in and out of the hospital this past year for cellulitis in her foot/lower leg, but she seems to bounce back pretty well. She has gained so much weight in the last couple years and I know that isn't helping, but again...not a lot I can do to change that without arguments, etc. Sometimes we have to pick our battles!! You're having to deal with all the heat, too. Not sure I could stand it, but our choices are slim sometimes. Hang in there, kiddo...we do what we can and make the best of the situation. Hugs, Jeannie

When you have 1/2 bushel of peaches, I'm pretty sure some of them will make it to the freezer...LOL. We love them, too, which is why I do it. I had 1/2 bushel about 3 weeks ago and we ate until we were sick, but still put 11 pkgs (not all quarts) into the freezer. Now we'll eat a lot, freeze most of them, but enjoy all of it. When they come out of the freezer they are just as tasty as eating them fresh, although they do have some sugar on them. Hope you are surviving all that heat and humidity. And, I'm assuming things are about the same with your Mom? Hugs, Eileen...I know it isn't easy. Love, Jeannie
