Hi there, I'm Jenn, wife to Mike, and mom to six children ages 6-19 and I am ready to simply nurture myself and the only body I'm going to get!
I have lost 17 lbs. with spark over several months time (since June 2010), and started the up 3 lbs and down 3 lbs thing for a few months.
On October 11th 2010 I joined Weight Watchers. I've found the social aspect (in person) key for me. I've lost 9 lbs in the first month, and onward I march. Update: I made a total of 15 lbs. loss in 3+ months on Weight Watchers, and I was very often hungry and though I controlled myself I thought about food way too often.
I canceled my membership a week ago, and have committed to a low-carb way of life. All I am omitting is refined sugar, flour and heavy starches, and truth be told they were not good for me in the first place. I am again seeing progress and see myself reaching my goal and enjoying life in a fit body!
I am in the drivers seat as to when I reach my goal, and whether I take a direct route or a scenic route. I am living and no longer just surviving. It's a learning process and I am glad to have begun it.
I want to be more than just another pretty face, and every day the choices I make are taking me closer to that reality.

My focus is on nurturing myself for once rather than upholding all the rules in the world!
I am taking a year to focus on myself and what I need to enjoy fitness health, AND beauty!! I am focusing on the best food ever, adequate sleep, challenging exercise and beauty.
I am also realizing the need to reward behaviors, NOT weight loss. It is the consistent behaviors that will get me to goal, and that is where my focus will be!!
Focusing to stay "present" more, especially while eating, rather than mindlessly going thru my day or mindlessly grabbing in the fridge.
