Palm Harbor Mom of 5

I am using this as an accountability tool. I have been trying to teach my children that you must take responsibility for your actions. My husband thinks that I am using stress as an excuse to eat. Perhaps it is just an excuse, but I do find it a major issue with my weight.
Starting today I plan on living up to being aacountable for my actions. It is time to stop blaming stree, my husband, my friends and family for the reasons I over-eat. When I cheat, I am only cheating myself and ...

My Goals:
I want to lose atleast 5 pounds a month.
I want to find healthier ways of dealing with stress than over eating and yelling. (the 2 major things I do now when I'm stressed.)

My Program:
I am trying to exercise at least a little bit everyday.
I am trying to eat sensibly using the Fast Break as a guide.
I am trying to get a little alone time in the morning to adjust my attitude, get my goals insight and remind myself that I'm worth it!

Personal Information:
I am a 41 year old mom of 5 young children, ranging from 10 to 2.
I was born in Upstate New York and moved to Florida 15 years ago. I used to feel sorry for women who were so wrapped up in their children it was all they talked about, and now I'm one of them. Being a mom is easily my greatest accomplishment to date! Being a good parent is the MOST IMPORTANT job you can ever have.

Hi, Jacqui. How are you? Haven't seen you around in awhile, so thought I'd check. Hope all is well.

WOW! Mother of 5.... I think I would be a little bit stressed. I get stressed with just my one. You probably have to yell just to be heard! Stress will do it to you. I think that was the final straw for me. My MIL was at death's door, I was working 4 days a week so the money was tight and my husband and I were both studying for professional exams. Good luck to you and just keep plugging away. Even if you take two steps forward and one step back... you are still one step ahead.
