5th Sparkiversary- 7/2012.


This thing called life is a marathon, not a sprint. I have had to learn a lot about patience the past few years.

Some of my milestones:
100# Lost- 8/27/2008- That means that on 8/27/2010- I kept it off for 2 years! 3 years on 8/27/2011!

First 5K- 4/25/09- 31:56.4 /
Next 5K- 9/4/10 - 29:48
Turkey Trot 4.4 11/2010 - 43:21
1st 5K with my son- 12/11/2010 - 38.21
2 Mile turkey trot 11/25/2011 ...

Rounding the bend on my degree = nursing modules almost complete, a couple papers, chemistry then graduate in May 2012!!! Done- BSN! 5/2012

Girl, do I ever relate to you! I lost a lot of weight in 2003 and 2004 and have kept most of it off. In 2006, I became aware of my binge-eating problem and amongst other things joined the 21-day-binge-free team, which has been very helpful! But the greatest revelation has been my awareness itself, and all the other healthy eating habits I have learned. I also struggle with depression, which is a stumbling block to exercise and energy itself. But I know that it is a double-edged sword: The exercise is what brings lifted spirits and counter-balances the depression or sadness. Just for today, I do not have to binge because I am feeling feelings. Stay strong and stay close, girl!
