Hi Kathleen,
So good to hear from you! (So sorry to hear about your ankle - ouch!)
Just take your time getting back into action and don't worry about the weight gain. I think that happens to most people on vacation. Once you get back on track I'm sure you'll lose it again. I am doing fairly well sticking to my exercise and diet - still farther from my goal than I would like to see but at least the ticker is going in the right direction. I'm also getting a little extra exercise as a dog walker. Every little bit helps.

Stay motivated and positive; maybe find a new challenge to join in, and please, if you are feeling down, come find me - that's what spark friends are for.

BTW...isn't it about time for another blog entry?

Good to see you back, Kathleen,

I see you have gone "high tech" on me. : ) I say anything that helps keep you motivated is worth it. Glad to hear you are losing SLOWLY, that's the best and healthiest way. I know that "slow" can be frustrating, but try to keep the long view in mind. How great would it be to be down 15 or 20 lbs by this time next year! That's less than 2 lbs per month!

sorry about the funky font color; I didn't realize it was so difficult to see. I've changed it.

Please post a picture of the "ghost" peppers when it bears. I don't think I've ever seen one.

Hi Kathleen,

Just checking in on you. I was hoping to see a bit of movement on your ticker.
You were thinking of trying our some new dietary choices and resume riding your trike now that the weather has warmed up. How is that going?

I've recently joined the "Tame Your Sweet Tooth Challenge" and I am doing the "21 day Binge-Free Streak". Between the two of them I am getting control over the areas which have given me the most problems with weight loss - too much sugar and night time snacking. It feel good to be in control. My weight was up a bit but has started going back down.

Let me know how you are doing. Don't worry about what did or did not happen in the past. Just start today with renewed confidence and start over. We never run out of second chances.

Hi Kathleen,

Great to here from you! Your plan sounds good and I know that veggie garden will have you burning calories.

I'm still moving like a snail and just can't get myself motivated enough to go to the gym and get back on the elliptical. Been very busy with my family tree and genealogy...unfortunately, only my fingers are getting exercise! lol

I am checking in on Sparkpeople periodically. Recording my weight each week...haven't been good at weighing and measuring my food the past couple weeks, but am getting my water in.
