For my height (6ft), "healthy" BMI is 140-190 lbs. I'm aiming for approx 180 lbs, which is a BMI of 24.

My lowest adult weight was 175 lbs in 2002. At that weight, I remember feeling "skinny". Now, in 2013, I want to feel "fit".

Once I reach 180lbs, I'll reassess my goals and consult with my doctor to determine next steps. For me, the scale is just a guideline. It's less about the numbers on the scale or my pant size and more about how I want to feel in my body, what I want to see in the mirror.

Thank you for your comment and for friending me!

You are doing so well yourself and are half way already! Well done!

Now, from one loser to another - please, please don't despair when the loss slows. Because it does. And it's frustrating and can be demotivating. But remember, 1 lbs as percentage is more now than it was when you started your journey, so relish every lb, even if it takes twice the time to lose!

Keep smiling, keep believing and keep doing! And enjoy the journey!

Hugs and well done,
Joanie

You look beautiful- I like how you've mapped out your routine. I 've been asking everyone - how to stay motivated? I wavier back and forth, I am eating healthier.. I've eliminated alot of things from my diet. But I just find it hard - very hard to portion control - I eat too much of the good stuff now! Any suggestions?

Hey! Thanks so much for the blog comment! I've decided we're so hard on ourselves 90% of the time- we gotta take that other 10% when we're proud of how far we've come and run with it. I do anyways. emoticon

Hey girl, I just saw your post in the Active Toronto team (from January ... I'm a little late to the party) and noticed that you live by me! I live in Etobicoke as well, basically at Bloor and Islington. Just thought I'd stop by and say hello!

Yay for another tall girl! We have about the same goal weight too :) I'm stuck at 190...can't seem to break into the 180's for the life of me. I think that if my body is maintaining here, I will just hang out and work on fitness and keeping my diet clean. If I have to go all hardcore to get to 185, it's just not worth it to me! Welcome to SP!
