I'm Gonna Do This!!

I have been in a weight loss battle for awhile. Due to lack of motivation (no one to work out with, no encouragement, etc.), it has been hard to remain consistent in maintaining a healthier lifestyle. My goal is to live healthier, lose weight and finally take care of myself in the same manner as I do others.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 36 pounds by March 1st of next year. I was able to lose some weight since the last time I worked with SparkPeople, and I was able to keep some of it off. But I find that I allow myself to get derailed because I allow others' needs and desires to go ahead of my own (choosing outings other than the gym, cooking less healthier options to suit others' cravings, etc.). So I have decided that I must also care for myself as I do others, but I have to learn how to be a little more selfish in terms of taking care of my health.

My Program:
I used the holidays as a time to clean out my pantry, thanks to local food drives. I am also using SparkRecipes to plan my meals and calorie intake. I will be joining a 24 hour gym by the end of the week, in order to be able to workout around my hectic work schedule. I also joined SparkCoach so that I can get, and keep, my motivation levels up because it's difficult without a support network.

Great job on going to the gym! My back is much better. are you drinking 8 glasses of water a day? I am trying but not always making it.
