Happy Friday! And congratulations on the weight loss. Way to go buddy!!!

I did another 2 or so miles today and I think I'm addicted to lunges and lunge walking because I busted out a lot of them today. I can see that it is making a difference so I might as well stick with something that works.

As for calories, I don't really count. I know what to eat and I eat pretty small portions. I do log and it seems that I'm probably not getting enough if you can believe that. But, I eat at every meal and I even have my desert. I'm loving the Weight Watchers ice cream sandwiches.

Tomorrow I plan on mowing and gardening. I'll probably try to get a walk in. Maggie (my walking partner dog) has a hot spot where her collar rests so she doesn't get to go with me. Poor thing, she really wants to go. Katy, my puppy and the one in the picture is too young to go treking with mommy right now. But she's gonna be a great walking partner.

What's your plans for tomorrow?

Have a great day and keep up the great work. 5 pounds is incredible.

Hello :)

Those side shuffles are awful in a good way! Good for you, sounds like your day went great. Stinks about the running, BUT a good power walk is VERY effective and fun especially with a buddy or good tunes! I went for a run and then followed it with a walk to cool down. The wind was ferocious and what made it not as great as usual....but I figure wind resistance from literally all directions = a better workout.

Your recipe sounds not only yummy, but similar to my recent wok thing. I grab chicken and anything I find that is colorful veggies and spice it up. I don't post them b/c there is no logic to it, I just stir fry away LOL

Tomorow I'm not too sure about what my workout will be. If it's in the a.m. I may go to the gym and do my favorite kickboxing/step class, if it's in the afternoon I'll run b/c it's more convenient. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day, so I hope I'm not disappointed.

How many calories are you working on maintaining? I focus more on what I am eating and than calories, but it tends to work out OK according to my food tracker as an afterthought.

Have a great day tomorrow and happy walking,
Jacqueline

Hey there. How did you do exercise wise today? My buddy came over and we did a real good 3 mile power walk. Then I did my lunges and squats as usual and the Quickfire Challenge which was side shuffles. Who would have thought those suckers would burn so much.

I used to hate running. Now I love it so much and I can't do it. Apparently as you age this thing called arthritis sets in. Ugh. Right in my hips too. So, I can't really run. However, whenever I'm walking alone, I find myself running without even realizing it. Boy, if you get some good music going you can really go to town.

Tomorrow I will probably do another 3 mile walk and add in some more lunges and squats. I'm really liking the results I'm getting with them. Particularly the lunge walking. It's my thing I guess.

I made up a recipe last night that had lots of spice and a good kick. We had leftovers today. I posted the recipe in the recipe blog. If you want to call it a recipe. I cut up some chicken breast, spiced it up good, cooked it up and added a jar of Pace Chile Verde Sauce. Then roasted some corn on the cob on my grill pan and cut the corn off and added it to my stew along with a can of pinto beans and a can of canneline beans. Served it with fat free tortillas last night and over wild rice tonight. It was soooo good. Well, I thought so anyway. My cooking doesn't always turn out. Okay, my meals rarely turn out, but I try.

What's up for tomorrow? emoticon

Hi Posey,

How did your day go? Do you have a set day you weigh-in? I am awaiting Friday to see if my "plan" is heading in the right direction!

Have a great night,
Jacqueline

Hello!

Today was a good one, thank you for asking! I love squats and lunges, or maybe I should say I like the results. Awesome that you had a good day. I ran for 30m and followed it up with a nice brisk walk to cool down......forgot how running in 90 degree weather felt LOL I don't have another lifting day until Sunday which is great since I really only love cardio. Tomorrow is a running day and Friday is my favorite spin class. I think I might swim a little tomorrow since the weather is so great (in AZ).

Foodwise I did well, and have a new found obsession with a wok. I put chicken, tons of veggies, and every stinking spice I possess in there.....and yummy stuff occurs emoticon

What are you doing for exercise tomorrow? I think you should try this neat program at www.active.com called C25K. It stands for couch to running a 5K.....a friend of mine has done it and swears that it is rewarding. She'snow running 10Ks a year later!

Have a great night,
Jacqueline
