Hi all! My name is Jackie. I first started using Spark People in February of 2007. I lost 16 lbs. and came within 2 lbs. of my goal weight. I was quite happy with this. But, I lived in Cairo, Egypt, and we are currently living in the States. I have gained most of the weight back. It is much harder to keep the weight off here. I guess because in Egypt, the food is more natural, it is hot most of the time, and we walk a lot more. I am officially starting over. I have met some wonderful people on SP, and I know with their loving motivation, example, and support, I will be able to do it once again.
I have 3 beautiful children and am married to a very supportive man. Our oldest, Kaily, is 25, our 2nd child, Dillon, is 20, and our youngest, Levi, is 20.
I do not feel like I am fat, nor am I terribly unhappy with myself, but I do need to live a more healthy lifestyle. I want to do this to feel better, be healthier, and be a good example to my family.
I would like to lose at least 15 pounds. My starting weight is around 155 pounds and I would like to weigh 140. If and when I reach this, then I will see if I want to lose more.
Right now I am just trying to eat healtheir and exercise at least 3 days a week. I will try to track my food every day, and drink at least 8 glasses of water.
I am from Missouri in the States. I like to read, and I like cats. My main weaknesses for food is fast food, and I love Caffe Mochas. I am a born again Christian, which means I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior because I am a sinner, and He is the only way to be forgiven of my sins and live eternally in Heaven after I die.
