Hi all! My name is Jackie. I first started using Spark People in February of 2007. I lost 16 lbs. and came within 2 lbs. of my goal weight. I was quite happy with this. But, I live in Egypt, and we are currently living in the States for a year, and I have gained some of the weight back. It is much harder to keep the weight off here. Hi all! My name is Jackie. I first started using Spark People in February of 2007. I lost 16 lbs. and came within 2 lbs. of my goal weight. I was quite happy with this. But, I live in Egypt, and we are currently living in the States for a year, and I have gained some of the weight back. It is much harder to keep the weight off here. I guess because in Egypt, the food is more natural, it is hot most of the time, and we walk a lot more. I am officially starting over. I have met some wonderful people on SP, and I know with their loving motivation, example, and support, I will be able to do it once again.

I have 3 beautiful children and am married to a very supportive man. Our oldest, Kaily, is 22, and is currently living in Egypt. She teaches Jr. High english and math at our son's school. Our 2nd child, Dillon, who is 20, is in the States living with his grandparents. He is currently going to college full-time. Our youngest, Levi, is 17 and is living with us.

I do not feel like I am fat, nor am I terribly unhappy with myself, but I do need to live a more healthy lifestyle. I want to do this to feel better, be healthier, and be a good example to my family.

My Goals:
I would like to lose at least 10 pounds. My starting weight is around 150 pounds and I would like to weigh 140. If and when I reach this, then I will see if I want to lose more.

My Program:
Right now I am just trying to eat healtheir and exercise at least 3 days a week. I will try to track my food every day, and drink at least 8 glasses of water.

Personal Information:
I am from Missouri in the States, but I live in Cairo, Egypt. I like to read, and I like cats. My main weaknesses for food is fast food, especially McDonalds, and I love Caffe Mochas.

emoticon Jackie! I'll be looking for you on the "Top 25 Fitness minutes for June" list for the Team: Spark Springfield!!
I recently changed my TICKER to read fitness minutes. It starts at zero on the first of the month and is a constant challenge (for all to see) about meeting the goal by the end of the month.
