My Much Happier, Healthy Life
Welcome to my page. Thanks for stopping by. I finally have a normal, happy, healthy life that I am thankful for everyday! I have lost weight before and gained some of it...ok, half of it...back. I lost a good chunk of my self-esteem in an abusive marriage. BUT, I got that back too. I did it with the help of a loving family and many supportive friends, and a spine I forgot I had. Three years and a divorce later, I have what I have always seemed to want...simplicity. Now I'm working ...

I lost a good chunk of my self-esteem in an abusive marriage. BUT, I got that back too. I did it with the help of a loving family and many supportive friends, and a spine I forgot I had. Three years and a divorce later, I have what I have always seemed to want...simplicity. Now I'm working exercise and healthier eating back into my lifestyle and it fits like a well-worn glove. It helps too, that the man in my life now is so supportive of my goals. I feel like I can do anything!!

My Goals:
Goal #1: Get to my goal weight of 145 lb. by June 15th, 2011 and keep it off for one year! Goal#2: Do 15 minutes of activity at work, each day I work for 2 months. Goal #3: Exercise an additional 20 mintues each time I go over my calorie goals for 3 months. Goal #4: Each week, plan for the days I know I will probably go over my calorie goals and make sure I stay within my calorie goals all other days for 4 months. With any luck Goals 2-4 will get me to my one full year of maintanence on June 15th 2012!
My Program:
I track all my food most days of the week. I exercise at least 30 minutes each day that I am not working a 12-hour shift (7a-7p). I, being the anal person that I am (lol), created a worksheet for the minimum amount of time I need to spend on each of my responsibilites (i.e. housework, yardwork, and exercise) and pinned it to the fridge so I can look at it when I need a reminder. I also make a daily list of things I want, or need to get accomplished. Writing things down seems to help keep me accountable!
Personal Information:
I am a Nursing House Supervisor in a 25-bed hospital in my home town. I live in the sticks near another even smaller town. I commute to work about 40 minutes one way. So the three days a week that I work are devoted to sleeping and working. The other four days a week are spent living life to the absolute fullest!
Other Information:
I love being outside, especially if it involves hunting! I got a bow about a year ago and I absolutely love it!
