Stop living life for what's around the corner & start enjoying the walk down the street. Grant L Miller

When we become too goal centered it becomes easy to completely live in our vision of where we will be in the future without noticing the improvements that we have made in the present. The road to self-change is a long trip, and it is very important to realize what we are shooting for, but we need to make sure that we keep our head in the present so that we can begin enjoying the progress we’ve made to date. If your goal is to loose 40 pounds, then instead of waiting to lose 40 pounds to celebrate, enjoy the small victories and take advantage of your improved health now. This will also serve as motivation to continue striving for our aspirations. If we set ambitious goals then we need to enjoy the road to accomplishing those goals, because life might pass you buy if you are always planning for tomorrow without ever enjoying today.

God is a good God! I can do this through His strength in me. I am miserable when I am eating mindlessly and out of control. It is time to change. Life is too sweet to let it go by feeling anything but in control of what goes into my body!

Don't complain about the things you can change. Change what you can. Accept the things you can't change.

I am done being fat girl! Are you done yet?

I must say I love posting and seeing that ticker number show how much weight I have lost. It is such encouragement!

My Goals:
I have been actually working the SP program as of 6-8-08. My goals are to get thin enough that my grandson doesnt talk about how fat I am - and he does it so innocently ! Another goal is to wear the clothing I have hanging in my closet. I am going to do it in small increments. Baby steps right? And now that I have lost 20 lbs i am beginning to slip into some of those clothes! It feels good!

My Program:
I decided to go vegan for 21 days. I felt wonderful so I decided to continue. I have to really think about what I am going to eat. I am now spending more time prepping all the veggies and fruits as well as the grain and legumes. This is a good thing!

As of 8-1-08 I am adding green smoothies to my daily ritual. I have been playing around with them for a few days and I have watched a bunch of videos on youtube and decided to do them for 21 days. I will have a smoothie daily.

I am also trying to increase my raw foods and cook less. I continue to add a new recipe or style of food weekly. Same goes with items on the store shelves. I have now added agave nectar and quinoa. There are soo many items out there to add variety.

Personal Information:
I live in Central Florida. I am a daughter, mother and a grandmother as part of a wonderful family.
