I've used SparkPeople in the past to lose weight (when I thought 95lbs was fat), but now I'm here to gain weight! The challenge for me is to gain the right kind of weight. I want to gain muscle. I work full time at a bakery, so this does become a bit of a challenge. My coworkers have all been instructed to knock food out of my hands if I decide to do any sampling in the name of "quality control". ;)

I began weightlifting in the Summer of 2010, and was very successful. I gained 12lbs in 6 months. Unfortunately, I took a second job not long after I started, and I had a hard time keeping up with my workouts. I'm now down to 101 with a goal of reaching 110 by April of 2012. At which time, I plan to celebrate by giving blood, something I've never been able to do.

I first got certified in 2002 but I didn't renew it last year. It's a good review anyway, and things are always changing in the fitness industry as well as theories, etc. My friend is thinking about competing but she wants to gain weight first, so I may be helping her with that, in that case it'll make things easier.

I haven't really been able to start my weight gain program 100% because for me it's more about nutrition. I have to calculate and come up with a weight gain game plan, but I got distracted because I started helping my friend (Zumba instructor) study for her PT exam and decided to do it too. I'll be cramming for the next 3 weeks!!
