Hoping to be a loser...
I have been overweight for a long time now. I joined SparkPeople in Sept. of 2010 and have only been doing things on and off to try to lose weight since. I have had many things happen to me over the last 8 months and I woke up one day and I had finally had enough. I have taken steps since October of 2012 to lose weight and have managed to lose 15 lbs so far. I may not log in to SP every day but I am doing something every single day to get me one step closer to a new me. ...

I have 2 wonderful boys, Dylan and Avery, and a wonderful husband who have all stuck by my side and love me regardless of my size. I am here to lose weight and be healthier for myself just as much as I am here for them.

My Goals:
My long-term goals are: 1) Wear a size 9/10 in pants. 2) Be able to run again, although I have no desire to run a race. I just like the freedom of being able to just run. 3) Be a role model for my children so that they know how to eat right and fit exercise into their day. My short term goals: 1) To try not to focus too much on how much I have to lose in all and just take it a little at a time. 2) Make small changes every day and make healthier choices for snacks/meals. And to teach my children everything I learn on SP about nutrition, fitness and making healthy life choices. 3) Exercise a minimum of 45 minutes three days each week.
My Program:
Nutrition: Eat healthy foods and not get bogged down with trying to track every little thing that I eat. Focus more on what and how much I'm putting in on my plate, rather than how many calories it has. Also, I need to drink more water, especially the recommended 8 glasses of water daily. Fitness: Make sure I fit exercise into my schedule. With being a college student my schedule is always changing so I need to be flexible and workout more (even when I don't feel like it!!)
Personal Information:
I am a mother to 2 beautiful boys who have stolen my heart. I am married to my best friend and love of my life, Jeff. We are a military family and move around a lot.
Other Information:
I love, love, love, love to read. I like watching TV, and movies. I also love music. I like many different kinds of music. I am a HUGE 311 fan. Check out their music at www.311.com. I also like jazz, some pop, alternative, metal, and some electronica.
