Well it's been a tough year to say the least. Depression hit an all time low and I am now not only on medication for migraines and neuralgia, I am also on antidepressants. Needless to say nearly all the weight I lost has crept back on and I have created a viscous cycle of food and self loathing again.

My middle daughter has left to stay with her father and I have seen her once since November, enabled by my sister and my own father. A long and unpleasant story, but it's taken some time to get my head around.

So I am going to attempt to get back on track. My goals are still no different from before, but hoping that me brain is in gear enough for me to achieve them.

One year on: Well we have just celebrated Christmas, New Year and my youngest daughters birthday. I am pleased that I am lighter than I was this time last year, but also sad that after a really difficult few months with chronic pain I have managed to put some of that back on.

Hopefully the pain is now pretty much controlled with medication, but now I need to get back on track. So I am going to start a new challenge, which coincides with a new term at school.

I have six weeks to prepare for a half marathon that I signed up for before the pain kicked in. It is for charity and I have no intention of giving up just yet. You never know what you can achieve in that time, so I am going for it!

This time next year I WILL have lost at 50lbs! Watch this space x x x

Update: Over three months down the line, 20lbs down, a challenge completed and training started for a half marathon in June. It's been a bit of a bumpy ride and a little slower than I would have liked but overall I am happy with my achievements! Pushing on!

I have been a member of since Feb 2008...I have reached goal, piled it back on almost as soon as I lost and then had my beautiful new daughter, Eirlys.

Eirlys is 3 next week and after a very difficult couple of years, I am the biggest I have been. This in turn makes me miserable and is a symptom of how my life seems to have spiralled out of control.

But now it's time to fight back! To take back some control and feel better about myself again!

So what better time to start afresh, than the beginning of a new year.
