Hey! Honestly walking and not eating fast food everyday had helped me come down from 270, so I know once you put your mind to it, you'll catch right up to me ;)

So I think food as an incentive is good... but I also have feel good rewards too for every 5 pounds I lose. Like, usually I have a cheat day on my weigh in day if I've made my goals for that week. I usually have a few goals. The first is always the weight, a minimum of 2 pounds lost. I also had to have stayed on plan and eaten healthy for every meal and snack that week. I usually throw in some little thing each week, like drinking 8 glasses of water, or trying to eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day, or some crap. And, only if I did all of these things, then I could have one cheat meal. But then I had to eat light the rest of the day, and workout that day. So it never hurt me too much in the end. I might gain back .5 a pound but that was usually it.

And the feel good rewards I usually make get better as I lose more weight. So like, for losing 5 pounds, I put that I can get a cheap manicure, and then you get up to losing 25, and I can get a massage, and so on.

I can't even tell you how excited I am. I don't know about logging food yet either. I think one thing at a time. Cause if I try to do too much at once I'll burn out. I'm probably going to use this site just for moral support and stuff. And then as I get more used to eating better and exercising and I need a little more structure, I'll start logging.

Really I think if I can just make healthy meals instead of skipping meals and then driving through McDonalds for a huge cheeseburger everyday, and making an effort to get in physical activity every day, it'll be a good start. Besides, when you hit a plateau, you always want to be able to tighten up your routine somewhere.

Holy crap I typed a lot... haha I'm done now :) Oh, and apparently they don't let you type curse words on here. Lame sauce.
