I typed a long spark mail to you last night and "lost" it due to computer operator error! Gabrielle got new fancy lap top for school so I took over her old one and I am getting used to it. I let the battery get too low....It is a good thing right now because the pc is upstairs and it is much hotter up there, we have 2 large ac units but when it gets this hot the upstairs just can't keep up. at least with my "new" lap top I can sit at the kitchen island where it is relatively cool.
Seattle was fantastic. Too much to do , must go back! I love the geography of the place. More hills in the city than I expected, my leg muscles and knees are still sore. Even with really really good public transport it is a lot of walking to get to everything one wants to see! Would be a good place to live and stay healthy. Can't walk in the daytime here right now, it is simply too hot. We got a family Y membership Sunday so I have no excuse though....
I am back! I will Spark mail you. I want to go right back, mostly because it is sooooooooo HOT here, and not hot in Seattle. There is TOO much to do there! All good! We even saw an Impeach Obama petition/desk at the waterfront! I never expected that.
The weekend! Not much planned! I'm going to see Barry Manilow at Chesapeake Arena Sat. night, Marc was given seats in the company box, should be fun, my first time for a concert there since we have lived here. I bet everyone is OLD. "looks like we made it..." SOOOOOOOOO cornball!
I can't believe it is Wednesday already. We heaved a collective sigh of relief when graduation was finally over....Gabrielle is more mature than the average kid and is very glad for high school to be in the rear window so to speak. Me too! I can leave behind some people I would rather not see all the time, lol! I don't care what they think now!
We (Gab and I) are going to list lots of stuff on ebay this week. Hopefully some will sell to make college spending money out of old clothes and unwanted stuff.
I am fully with you now! I know today is DAD DAY so hang in there and at least try not to eat in the car!
Let me just say I'll have a lot to share when this weekend is over.....Mother- in- Law is a stark raving mad LIBERAL. She didn't believe me when I told her the latest on PP.....she's 88 and I just have to grin and bear it! Tomorrow is her birthday (lunch at fancy restaurant Metro Bistro, we all love it and at least have that in common! I will enjoy in moderation!!!) and Gabrielle's Baccalaureate at 5 and a dinner/dance after that at the OKC Golf and CC.....living large...Graduation Saturday at 7pm and bunch of house parties during the daytime, French teacher retiring, graduates have open houses, etc. I'd better get to bed! Party after graduation that parents run(I am doing something re: keeping score of a game, casino games, etc. goes into the wee hours...should be fun, the last hurrah. Off to bed now!
