A College Student's Weight Loss Goals

Last summer I started my weight loss program. Checking in after 2 weeks into Summer 2009, my body fat is 24.6% and 147.6 lbs! Amazing considering last summer at this time I was 39% body fat. I'm really proud of myself considering I have a whole 14 more weeks of the summer left. I think I can really push through now and make progress towards my eventual goal weight!

Summer 2008

At the end of the last school year (May 08) I was 162 at my highest, now nearing the end of August with only 1.5 weeks to go, I weigh in at 154 exactly. At the beginning I had a body fat of around 39% and now it shows me at 34%. I also lost 3 inches off my bellybutton and 2 inches off my waist!

This is definitely good progress for a short three months, but with me heading back to school next year, I need to watch out that I don't revert to old habits of skipping meals, not exercising, staying up late, getting little sleep, being constantly stressed, etc. It'll be hard but my goal is to be sure to workout in the gym 3x per week MINIMUM and not to eat too fatty foods. I think this is a reasonable lifestyle that I can still maintain with a highly stressful school courseload (I'm taking 6 classes in the fall)!!
