Hello, I am Kelly don't let my user name fool you- (the user name I wanted was already being used). I actually joined in 2009. I think I checked in once and stopped, at the time I was going to the gym and so I thought I didn't really need the spark team. Then I stopped going to the gym, then there was buying the house, and remodeling it (which I'm still doing). But one day I was hiking on my brothers property and I had a hypoglycemic reaction and almost lost conscience. Luckily I realized something was wrong and told my companions, one of whom went for help. I was a little scared and surprised. I'm not diabetic, my Father had type 1, so I would get tested and checked every once in awhile. I also saw my Dad have diabetic comas and horrible reactions due to having too much insulin causing low blood sugar. Eventually he passed away (at age 41). So I realize I really need to make some changes and I really need help.

My Program:
I have been using the Nutrition Tracker to try and learn new eating habits.
I have also been walking to work towards my goal to hike 10 miles. All of these are going to help me to get to my long term weight goal.

I know I am almost to onderland. That has been my goal for two years. Actually it is 198 pounds...and I am going to go lower than that, but I can hardly wait until I get to onderland!!!

Thank you for the comments about my mom and the offer of your friendship. That really means a lot to me. I am doing pretty well right now and have an amazing support system in place. I have great friends, an excellent Weight Watchers counselor that I can call anytime and a student adviser at school that works with me on due dates so I don't have to stress about getting my work done on time when we have too many doctor's appointments to count. That doesn't mean I won't call on you too. One can never have too many resources when you're going through something like this. I am doing well right now and just passed my exam at school with 100% so I'm feeling pretty good. I might change my mind after trying a weight loss bootcamp with a guy from the Biggest Loser tomorrow. I'll keep you posted and thanks again for the wonderful offer. That is really sweet of you!
