I've changed my LifeStyle, for the Better and lost Weight, through a 5% Challenge, and you can too!

I took a 5% Challenge this Spring 2014, and am I ever glad I did.
I lost 10% who wouldn't be happy with that?
I began Tracking my Nutrition, even before I knew how to use the tracker, same for my Fitness.
I began to WANT to track my calories, to see if I actually could eat 1200 to 1500 Calories, in order to lose a pound or two a week.
Who knew it was possible to be full, and happy with what I ate to stay within that range.
Plus I was seldom hungry. Except for the ...

May 2014 - I Believe I have become Unstoppable. This is One Month into my Personal Best Efforts. I am on a Streak right to Goal Weight, and into Maintenance. I will not Sabotage all of my Best Efforts. I am using SparkCoach, plus I have the support of so many great SparkFriends. My family are all eating and living healthy, and we completed a 3.5 mile run, (I walked), but we did this together. And it was Awesome. And we did it for an excellent cause. I will overhaul my page and update as I progress.

May 2013 - I haven't reached my weight goal. I have watched my scale and it's gone down and up again. I need to restart, and make my permanent change my goal. Permanent Lifestyle Change. I have no other choice left open to me, but to get the job done.

Sept 12 2011My current GOAL is to find Success in CONSISTENCY Making Good CHOICES 1 at a time(Thanks DARKTHOR) Planning Healthy, Low-Cal Meals Planning & Tracking Calories & Exercise Enjoying the process, and the changes in my lifestyle because its all part of the Journey. My Goals:
My initial weight loss goal was 50lbs. In January 2012, I am setting a more realistic goal, one that's attainable. I want to lose 30 pounds. Preferable 1 or 2 a week.

I will be planning, persistent, patient and determined

My Program:
Revised June5/11 I am out onmy bike for 20 miles 3-4 days a week. I joined the local Gym, and will use the Circuit Training, and Treadmill 3-4 days a week. I will find out how to properly use the strength training equptment. I will learn Zumba usngmy new CD's

Personal Information:
I'm 30 years married. I have a great family and support system. I pretty much always put others andmy work first, so I will be a making a complete lifestyle change. I started cycling, Summer 2010. It was a pure joy of my youth. I love riding, helmet and all.

Other Information:
I'm getting this right. Even if I go in fits and spurts, I will continue to restart, and reachmy weight loss and health goals.

Sorry it took so long to see your comment. I probably will put a list of foods to eat on the fridge for this fall. I'm a homeschool mom, so that helps me stay on track without actually being tied to the computer.

I had to learn - if I stay the course and don't indulge at the family reunion - I just do a whole lot worse in the privacy of my own home. I am soooo weak.

So now I go ahead and enjoy the day and indulge - but I track and log to the best of my ability.

The next day I try to get back on track. Sometimes it takes a few days but that is ok too, I have the rest of my life to do this.

I find lots of fruits helps to level out the blood sugar and bring me down from the "sugar high" from too many sweets.

YOU can do it!

I am in a race to get off as much as possible they will replace my one hip the end of September .I want to have as little weight on me as possible then !
