I'm at the heaviest weight of my life so my goal is simple: GET FIT!!
I want to make fitness the focus of my lifestyle change, knowing that weight loss will follow in line if I keep to that.
Track calories as many days as possible.
Move, move, move - as much as posssible every day. I'm using my pedometer to help motivate me. Beginning December 1st 2008 I'm taking a class at the Y every Friday morning.
I'm 51, married to a wonderful and highly supportive man. We have a 17-year daughter who's a senior in high school and a 6-year old daughter in first grade. Both keep us very busy. I really want our daughters to live in a home where fitness is a priority and a way of life. My hope is that neither of them will ever go through what I'm going through with this weight-loss battle.
I love to read, work in the yard on various projects, go walking and hiking, watch birds, and do an assortment of artistic things. I've been working on a number of childrens' books since our little one was born and recently started on a book for adults that's based on the experiences of someone living with depression.
