Time to roll back the clock

Was a high school athlete & believed that I could keep my old lifestyle & still remain in-shape. Then, I started not to care if I was fit. I just said that I'm going to enjoy myself: eat what I want, drink what I want, etc.

Well, my last trip to my doctor has me borderline diabetic and borderline high BP. I think if I can stay focused that I can return to my former shell & maybe even better.

I don't think this is about sacrificing everything you enjoy. It's more about ...

I don't think this is about sacrificing everything you enjoy. It's more about reshaping your lifestyle so you enjoy certain things even more.

Hi there! I saw a post of yours on the message boards and was wondering what particular rowing machine you have. DH and I were interested in one but want one that is sturdy and won't break down with REAL use. emoticon

P.S. Your girls are ADORABLE!!! As is your wife, for sure!!!

Good luck on your goals, I just read the thread about being anxious about not being able to track. I totally understand that. I eat when I am stressed and feel not in control of things and I certainly did not need more anxiety!

Keep up the good work, my husband has lost 50 lbs and now is 10 lbs from MY weight. He is at a weight that he has never been at in his adult life! Dr said he is atypical, a healthy 52 year old!

Blessings!

I had to laugh when I saw your "how do you handle friendly advice" question in the forums. I JUST posted a blog about a friend similar to this. She is more of a sabateur but it all boils down to the same thing; not everyone is ok with change and it makes them nervous to see us change our habits (even if they are for the best). Hang in there! Keep up your hard work!!
