Hi. Thanks for checking out my Spark Page. I'm Eileen and people call me Ei or IRISH. I live in Ohio!

I went to Weight Watchers for several years off and on and did lose, 25 #'s, but then put it back on when I stopped going.
In September 2010 when I discovered Spark People and read the book, it really got me motivated to make a decision. I decided I wanted a healhier lifestyle and knew I needed to make a change. I needed to do this on my OWN.
Spark got me going and kicked in and I realized it was up to me to be STRONG and FOCUSED. Motivation is great on this site.

Last Summer - July 21, 2015 I began a New program on a Mediterranean diet and lifestyle. I went to a dietician and wellness doctor. They encouraged me to eat whole grain and healthier meals.
That program was the best so far for me to lose weight. I lost 25# in 7 months with this program. It was very filling and satisfying.

May 16, 2016 - I decided to go back to WW. Have always had good luck when I was going to meeting and being weighed. The program works if you work it. After I had been sick for 5 weeks in Feb.and early March, I was having trouble getting back on track due to some prednisone I had to take for 15 days. So now, with WW's help, I am losing weight again and eating well and very determined to lose the weight I need to, to get to my goal.
I do have some health issues, so sometimes I cannot do some forms of exercise or housework, due to this, but do the best I can and try not to ask for help unless necessary. I am positive and
strong natured person and love life. I will challenge myself and I
will never quit.
Thanks for stopping by and reading my page. Spark friends are really great motivators. I know I can do this. I am stronger now making better choices and so glad I am aware of how important it is to be healthy. I want to be trim and fit and look really sexy in my bathing suit. LOL......I need to get rid of my tire, which I never had before. "The BEST is yet to come."

My Goals:
To lose the weight needed to be healthier and fit for Lifetime following a plan each day.
I want to enjoy my grandchildren and look fit and trim so they are proud of me.
Plan to get to maintenance and then keep control of the weight once a month with staying on top and being
weighed. Life is short, but Life is good. The older I get the more I realize what it is all about. I am now doing this for me and plan to succeed.
1. Stay in my calorie range (and Smart points)daily by eating less
2. Continue to exercise at my gym 4-5 x a week
3. Make better choices with my food
4. Be very careful of what I snack on
5.Be determined, focused, and stronger as I renew my goals.







My Program:
Following the WW Smart points plan
Eating whole grains
Track all meals and portion control daily.
Exercising 5 days a week
Drink 8 glasses of water daily.
Eat at least 3 fruits and 3 vegetables a day.
Always remembering, to Pray and Thank God for His love and guidance in my journey every day!



Personal Information:
I live in Ohio, a suburb on the west side of Cleveland.
I have three adult children, two son- in- laws and three precious grandchildren.
I have many wonderful friends.
My faith and my family are very important to me.
I babysit when I can to help my kids out and enjoy it.
I am active in my church, volunteering in many groups.

I belong to the YMCA and my Recreation center and 5 days a week go to classes and use the other benefits they provide.

I love to read, do the daily crossword puzzle, love music, walking outdoors and on a track.

I enjoy cooking, trying out new healthy recipes, and spending time with close friends.

I try to laugh at myself each day and not take things too seriously.

    Hello Ei, Yesterday was cold and snowy here. I went early to visit my Dad. He is in a nursing home close by and is bed ridden. He looks forward to my visits so I went before the roads became snowy. I made a Turkey breast for dinner. It hit the spot. Even tried a lower fat version of my mashed potatoes. Not the same,but good enough. The meal hit the spot for a cold winter day. I plan on do some sewing a little later today. I have been working on a quilt for two years. One of these days I will have it done.Looking forward to our winter challenge.I am a Cloverleaf. We are starting our practice week tomorrow. I will need to practice for sure. I hope you enjoy this beautiful Friday and the weekend ahead. emoticon

    Thank you Eileen, for the good wishes for 2017. I'll need them. I am currently back up to where I started back in 2011, on SP! It's so frustrating and I feel so helpless to help myself down the road. I aim to keep being here on SP with my beloved friends, who help me the best they can, and to just keep moving and increase my moving as much as I can and not damage my joints all the more. That's the point I'm at. I know that I can get back on my recumbent bike for 10 min., 3x/week, according to my Rheumy. I have to have my DH haul it out of the porch because it's too cold out there now. These Christmas cookies call my name all the time. It helps with them being out on the cold porch. Thanks for all you do to help me. I'm wishing you the best health-wise and happiness-wise for 2017! All of it! emoticon emoticon emoticon
