I went to Weight Watchers for several years off and on and did lose, but then put it back on when I stopped going.
In September 2010 when I discovered Spark People and read the book, it really got me motivated to make a decision. I decided I wanted a healhier lifestyle and knew I needed to make a change. I was doing the WW Points plan-- on my own with the help of Spark People.

Spark got me going and then the new WW Points plus plan came out and I decided to change from WW points- on my own to the new plan.
In December of 2010 , I re-joined for the new WW Points Plus Program for three months. It was a early Christmas gift to myself, since I know ----I am worth it!!
Now, since early March 2011, I am doing the program on my own. I have a long way to go, but know this program will keep me on top of things.
I have a few health problems that sometimes interfere
with my exercising plans, but am striving to improve on this. I am hoping my health will actually be much better by my activity and healthier lifestyle.
One day at at time I will get there. It may take me longer than I planned, but I will not give up. My journey is moving in the right direction and I am on this with all of you. Let's help each other get there. Thanks for being here Spark People!

My Goals:
To Continue on this journey, One day at a time, losing the weight
necessary to become healthier.

Hoping to reach my goal in 2013. As I get closer to goal I will pick a date. Health issues have set me back some. I will do as much as I can to catch up and be active.






My Program:
Following the Weight Watcher Points Plus Program.

Track food and portion control daily.

Exercising regularly.

Drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day.

Always remembering, to Pray and Thank God for His love and guidance in my journey every day!



Personal Information:
I live in Ohio, a suburb on the west side of Cleveland.
I have three adult children, two son- in- laws and three precious grandchildren.

My faith and my family are very important to me.

I babysit when I can to help my kids out and enjoy it.

I am active in my church, volunteering in many groups.

I belong to the YMCA and go to a Fitness after 50 class twice a week. I also go to use the equipment and pool other days during the week.

I love to read, love music, walking outdoors and spending time outdoors with family and friends enjoying nature.

I enjoy cooking, trying out new healthy recipes, and spending time with close friends.

I try to laugh at myself each day and not take things too seriously.

Hi Eileen,
We just got back from Aruba. we had such a great holiday, with 2 other couples, who are close friends. Aruba is beautiful, with wonderful, happy people. It was very hot, but it is really windy everyday, so that saves you, from roasting. We stayed at the riu Palace, and did do Aqua Zumba, everyday, morning and afternoon. We also walked the beach, everyday. I only gained 2 lbs. Hard to believe, because we ate like fools. The food was superb. Now, we are back, in the "land of ice and snow", but nice to be home. I always miss everyone, when I'm gone. emoticon

My shoulder is begining to feel a little better. I haven't been on the computer very much. We had the kids over for hubby's bd yesterday. The kids kept me going. LOL I hope your doing well. I'll talk to you later. emoticon

Thanks for checking in with me. My right shoulder has been hurting me a lot for a couple of days. I think I have been spending too much time on this computer. I can't even lift a pot to heat some soup. I hope your doing well.
We did get a little snow this evening. Guess it's still winter.
