I went to Weight Watchers for several years off and on and did lose, but then put it back on when I stopped going.
In September 2010 when I discovered Spark People and read the book, it really got me motivated to make a decision. I decided I wanted a healhier lifestyle and knew I needed to make a change. I was doing the WW Points plan-- on my own with the help of Spark People.

Spark got me going and then the new WW Points plus plan came out and I decided to change from WW points- on my own to the new plan.
In December of 2010 , I re-joined for the new WW Points Plus Program for three months. It was a early Christmas gift to myself, since I know ----I am worth it!!
Now, since early March 2011, I am doing the program on my own. I have a long way to go, but know this program will keep me on top of things.
I have a few health problems that sometimes interfere
with my exercising plans, but am striving to improve on this. I am hoping my health will actually be much better by my activity and healthier lifestyle.
One day at at time I will get there. It may take me longer than I planned, but I will not give up. My journey is moving in the right direction and I am on this with all of you. Let's help each other get there. Thanks for being here Spark People!

My Goals:
To Continue on this journey, One day at a time, losing the weight
necessary to become healthier.

Hoping to reach my goal in 2013. As I get closer to goal I will pick a date. Health issues have set me back some. I will do as much as I can to catch up and be active.






My Program:
Following the Weight Watcher Points Plus Program.

Track food and portion control daily.

Exercising regularly.

Drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day.

Always remembering, to Pray and Thank God for His love and guidance in my journey every day!



Personal Information:
I live in Ohio, a suburb on the west side of Cleveland.
I have three adult children, two son- in- laws and three precious grandchildren.

My faith and my family are very important to me.

I babysit when I can to help my kids out and enjoy it.

I am active in my church, volunteering in many groups.

I belong to the YMCA and go to a Fitness after 50 class twice a week. I also go to use the equipment and pool other days during the week.

I love to read, love music, walking outdoors and spending time outdoors with family and friends enjoying nature.

I enjoy cooking, trying out new healthy recipes, and spending time with close friends.

I try to laugh at myself each day and not take things too seriously.

Hi Eileen, thanks for all you wrote regarding my health. It was the Chiro. that told me that the recumbent bike was iffy because of my lower back pain. It's fine right now and I have used the bike. No problem at all. It's just when my lower back would be feeling more pain, that I need to be careful with the bike. So I'll be careful with that. I really hardly have any back problems. I'm probably more susceptible with it because of gaining back this weight. Errrr! My Rheumatologist feels that the bike is really good for me, so that's a good thing. I hope to get to the local "Y" soon and check on their classes and times, etc. I looked online and I couldn't find just what I was looking for, so am looking forward to going right to the horse's mouth! Ha! Thanks again for all your care and concern!

Thank you so much, Eileen, for your cont'd support! I haven't done very good today with the eating and the exercise. I was to the Chiro on Wed., and he adjusted my lower back and I've been faithful with the exercises, but he told me l that he felt "iffy" about me getting on the recumbent bike, so that bums me out big-time, because it's so tough to walk for exercise, except shopping with a cart. It felt good to wash the car yesterday and my back took that ok. But it can start feeling bad again when I do too much bending. So I'll just take a day at a time. I hope that you're doing better then I am. Have a great weekend and I admire you too, so much! Hugs, Karen

Thanks EI, Ididn't no it was going on line. Guess I'll have to check that out. That is my only granddaughter, Kelly and Ryan her husband. It is my only great grandson Ben. Turned 1 in April/
