My Motivation Page

I'm a 40 year old mother of 3, ages 19, 10, and 8. I have donated much money to the gym over the past few years and have learned that spending money does not motivate me. I enjoy the outdoors, walking, and doing everyday activities a bit harder like climbing stairs and yard maintenance. However, I am a late night binge eater! I become very disappointed in myself and begin the change. SP will hold me accountable. I can and will make the right choices.

My Goals:
I hate being photographed, it's too much reality. I would like to feel confident about my looks to be photographed. I want to shop at regular stores, and fit into a size 12 and not a size 18. I want to learn to maintain a healthy weight and keep motivated.

My Program:
May 5/09 - Right now, I've been a couch potato for the last 6 months. I have no cardio stamina whatsoever.

Mid May - Loving cardio, still making excuses to avoid strengthening.
I am now taking the stairs daily, every opportunity.

Update May 27th - OK, I have now succeeded in being unable to walk fast enough to keep my heartrate in target!!!! WOOHOOOEY
In only 3 weeks, I've gone from almost passing out when my heart rate spiked to ......... I started couch to 5k today - and feel great!


Early June - Started C25K, knee injury in week 2.
I am beginning the odd core and strengthening exercises.
I am retraining my core which forgot what to do over the past 6 months.

Early July - Core is stronger, hamstring strain is fixed. I'm loving Wii Fit and walking. Down 14 lbs!


Personal Information:
I am from Halifax, NS and looking forward to making this site my obsession, rather than eating. I have been saying I want to lose 40lbs before I'm 40 in August. I accomplished that goal in 2006 and gained it all back again.

Other Information:
May 6th - Did the modified pushup fitness test - completed 21 pushups in 1 minute.
