Just for today....
August 27, 2012 Looking back at my photo from my sister’s wedding on June 9th really made me think. I have been in denial for so long about how I looked. I had absolutely no idea I was as big as I was. I always try to remain positive and perhaps this is the reason I don’t have very many photographs taken of me. Now here is the deal! August 27, 2012 Looking back at my photo from my sister’s wedding on June 9th really made me think. I have been in denial for so long about how I looked. I had absolutely no idea I was as big as I was. I always try to remain positive and perhaps this is the reason I don’t have very many photographs taken of me. Now here is the deal! I can sit and wallow in what I look like now - or - I can do something about it! This journal is just the beginning of what I hope to be an exciting journey of self discovery. If I had a “totem” flower, it would be a rose and right now I am closed tight protecting my self against the outside forces that threaten me. However, in order to experience all that life has to offer, I need to bloom and show myself and the world my true beauty within - only then will the outside match the inside. I plan to take a proactive approach to my recovery. Sparkpeople! Al-Anon, and self-help gurus like Jack Canfield’s Success Principals, Cheryl Richardson and Deepak Chopra. I am working on a reward, inspiration, etc Jar to help in my recovery. I think I will call it THE JAR and it will hold rewards, successes, journaling ideas. Anything that will help me to succeed on a daily basis. Of course I have my first 30 day reward which is a massage.

Personal Information:
I live in South Dakota with my husband and my 22 yo daughter. We have several furry kids between us - Miss Molly 8, Austrian Shepherd; Mr. Meeps 8, Silver Tabby Cat; and Tarot 4, our black cat. I also have a 26 yo son in WA state after serving 7 years in the US ARMY.
Other Information:
I work full-time as a Loss Reporting Assoc filing accident claims. I also volunteer with the Siouxland Rennaissance Association. I like to play in the past! :) Reading, crafting & sewing take up my spare time (if I am fortunate to have any) ;)
