Finally Kicked that Plateau!

UPDATES February 01, 2015: I am officially 3 pounds past my plateau weight! I'm so stoked! It took me almost 4 months to get to this point, but I did it! I had to seriously watch what I ate, and get my water intake back up to the levels it needed to be.

I hope to start seeing non-scale fat loss signs soon, like loose pants or shirts. Currently I can squeeze into size 16 jeans if I suck my gut in, and ideally I want to fit into a size 12 or smaller when I reach my goal weight. ...

I hope to start seeing non-scale fat loss signs soon, like loose pants or shirts. Currently I can squeeze into size 16 jeans if I suck my gut in, and ideally I want to fit into a size 12 or smaller when I reach my goal weight. I've heard it said that to lose 1 pants size you have to drop 10 pounds -- so, in theory, once I drop 20 pounds I should be able to fit into a size 12 pants. We'll see what happens as time goes on. Wish me luck and perseverance!


ABOUT ME:
Unfortunately in April 2014, I was diagnosed with "Stage 0" cervical cancer. I had to have surgery to have the cancerous cells removed around the end of May 2014, and I spent a long time recovering from that surgery. You don't realize, but healing takes a LOT out of you! For a month, just sweeping the kitchen floor was exhausting. I had to gradually work back up to the things I used to do every day, and THEN it took another great while to get back to working out.

In September, I joined a weekend sports group - Dagorhir - and even a light afternoon left me so exhausted I could hardly keep awake by the time we got home.

Now? I'm back up to my daily 30min cardio sessions - sometimes longer! - and I've even started some physical therapy to correct the damage done by an injury I got over a decade ago.

I can run up and down a flight of stairs many times without the need for a breather, I can handle the weekend sports group MUCH better, and I'm working on improving my flexibility, too!

So even though I've gained some of the weight back that I lost last year, it's only about 8lbs and I hope to get rid of that in a month or two!

So wish me luck, cheer me on -- I'm going to get to my goal weight, whatever it takes!

My ultimate goal is to get fit and prepared to start a family. I don't want to start out heavy, then gain 30+ pounds due to pregnancy. It'll be that much harder to get the weight off after, and I'm going to need the energy to keep up with the demands of an infant!

ABOUT ME:

I'm an almost-30-year-old-woman who is married, self-employed, and living in Central California.

I enjoy reading science fiction and fantasy novels, video games, and other sedentary activities -- which is why I have the weight problem that I do! lol

I'm trying to kick the last 50-some pounds of weight that I need to lose, and in order to do that, I'm going to have to work REALLY hard. I keep hitting these frustrating plateaus and I want to try and bust through 'em!

emoticon Happy Belated Birthday, DONE GIRL.

The Sagittarius girl can have a weight problem because Jupiter loves to expand, but she also, can be a great athlete as she is a "Fire" sign with lots of energy and drive, so what she is depends on her choice. She loves being outdoors as she wanted to be like her Dad growing up. You could say she was more of a "tomboy" than the type who liked to be in the house, thus she doesn't make a good "stay-at-home-mom" type. She has a high IQ and makes a good teacher, or anyone who works with animals. She loves to spend money on others but then she is lucky and can make a lot of money. She has to watch her hip area as it can be her health issue. She is a person who loves to laugh, but know she tells things "straight from the horse's mouth" so she can be blunt and lack tack in her answers, but she is never vicious or revengeful. She will tell you straight out what is bothering her and get it over with. She gets along well with Libra, Aries, Aquarius, Leo and Gemini.
