I am 66 years old. According to my birth certificate. But every test I've taken to supposedly determine my biological or fitness or whatever age says that I am like a much younger person. The fact that I regularly finish in the top 15-20% overall when I run races supports this. But I'm claiming the 66 so that they don't stop my Social Security retirement checks. ;-)

I am a Lyft and Uber driver for 2 or 3 hours a day and really enjoy meeting most of the people I drive. Some people do not engage and I'm okay with that. I will soon be working 3 days a week for 2 months at the job I retired from so my driving hours will be cut way back. I travel a lot. In 2017, I will be going to Canada, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain. In the U.S., I'll be in various places between Maine and Nevada.

I love this quote: "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is." - Albert Einstein.

Bout running: "Some people create with words or with music or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, 'I've never seen anyone run like that before.' It's more than just a race, it's a style. It's doing something better than anyone else. It's being creative."- Steve Prefontaine

Where are you planning to watch the marathon when you're in NYC? I have a friend who lives along the route...5th Avenue and 118th. Its right on ground level. She does a marathon gathering. Lots of fun and great people. You could also head into Central park from there if you plan on meeting your wife at the finish line.

We'll talk, but just wanted to put this info out to you. Enjoy your xcountry trek. emoticon

    I just reread your introduction.

Thanks for continually inspiring. The roots I planted here at Spark run deep. I am not thrilled with my current weight because I feel like it holds me back and interferes with my energy and exercise. Its just those pesky 10 lbs...that are more like 14 lbs today due to weekend indulgences.

I look forward to your popping up to NYC. I would love to join you along the Hudson...lets just try to do it on a day when the wind isn't blowing too hard.

    Boom Chukka Boom!

Enjoy you upcoming travels and I know your retirement will be the beginning of new levels of fulfillment.
