Howdy!

Woman in her early 40's, fat, seeks a younger, healthier, hopefully thinner body! Ok, I can't do anything about my age, but hopefully i can do something about getting healthier.

I suffer from a myriad of illnesses including fibroymalgia, arthritis and diabetes to name a few. The two worst being severe depression and Multiple Sclerosis.

This has been a difficult process, but one thing I can tell you all is that if this old woman can lose weight so can YOU! I have ...

This has been a difficult process, but one thing I can tell you all is that if this old woman can lose weight so can YOU! I have chronic muscle, nerve and joint pain 24/7. I exercise at least 45 minutes a day/5 days a week. My legs are weak and my balance is off so walking is extremely hard, but I do chair aerobics and eat healthier, drink water (at least I am trying to!) and guess what?? I actually lose weight! :)

So, believe in yourself! I know you can do it!!

UPDATE:
11/22/2008 = 106.5 lbs LOST!! YAYAY!

I wanted to tell you that I know how hard it is to lose weight, but a some point in your life, you find a way to make it happen. I was so sick (lymphodema) disease as well as very bad skin (the kind that any touch will tear it) take large amounts of steroids a day and weighted up to 400 + pounds.

Today 3 1/2 years later I weigh 162.8 pounds, I no longer have to worry about where I am sitting or having my legs wrapped on in hose, I no longer end up with huge cuts on my arms or legs every time I touch something. I no longer am on double steroids (a single 4 mg a day). I can walk, I work a lot and am learning to love life. I am finally where I was in my senior year of high school.

It is really hard to get started, but the end results can be so wonderful. I do not have the really bad problem of MS so can not equate my problem to yours, but there is always a way to make our lives more tolerable.

I so wish that the doctor is able to help you. I have read that you are getting in to see someone who will be able to help you.

I found that there are bad days, but more days are wonderful than they ever have been. I have lost over 1000 pounds in my lifetime, but I never considered that I had to change my life to be healthier. Now I am at that place in my life. I can no longer diet or want to lose weight for a special time.

You have to want to be healthier. Make small efforts toward the goal of being a healthier and smaller you. The results will make you so happy and it will make living your life easier and more worthwhile.

Please check out my spark page and see my pictures. I hope that you will understand why I wrote this to you. Not many of us have been really obese and got thin without the surgery , but I am one of them and I am thrilled for me. I will tell you that I had lost a lot before I came to Spark, but Spark has been the help to make me understand that I am not on a diet, but on a program to be a healthy "young" old woman.

I wish you the best.
