2011, I don't want to 'lose' weight....

INSTEAD...I WANT TO 'GET RID' of the extra kilos I have been carrying around for the last 11 years! When we say we are trying to 'lose' weight, our brain will automatically try to 'find' what we have lost. So, let's begin to think about 'getting rid of,' 'shedding' and 'removing' weight.

If we can learn bad habits, we can learn good habits. It's only one decision! Make it!

Nine years ago, I stopped smoking.

I try to swim at least 2 times a week and now ...

I try to swim at least 2 times a week and now slowly I'm adding walking even though I am experiencing some pain in my knee.

I have been away from SparkPeople, but now I want to start again because I feel a much strong desire to achieve my goal of getting down to my target weight by the end of 2010. I hope I will find the way this time.

This month I've lost 4.5 pounds or 2 kilos.

My Program:
Basically, I am trying to cut out the bad things I do to my body and my mind and refill them with only positive and healthy things. I want good to go in so good will come out!

This means no cigarettes, no alcohol and not sugary food. I try to limit fried and processed foods as well.

Exercise has major priority. If I only have 1/2 hour a day, then I go for a fast walk around the block. If I have an hour, this is time for a quick swim in the sea. I try to walk more by parking my car farther away than usual.

This is a good start...

Personal Information:
I live on the top of a very high hill, overlooking the beautiful blue Aegean Sea. In the distance I can see the islands of Aegina, Poros, Hydra and the shores of the Peleponese. The boats sail by every day. I love to watch the changing colours of the sea. If you are visiting Greece, please do let me know and perhaps we can meet for a cool drink. Keep up the good work.
It would be great to meet but you are at the other end of Athens from me and I don't have a car. If ever you plan on visiting the centre let me know and we can meet at a mid-way point. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Since the end of May, I have reached my target of -10 kilos. In fact, I have lost 11 kilos since May 30, 2011! Yes, I have finally found the key to loosing weight and keeping it off! I'm half way to my goal. My next target weight is 74 kilos by the end of November. Can I do it? I'm on a mission!!!
