Hey. I'm currently trying to change my lifestyle =).

Previous attempts to lose weight have been frustrating. I used to play professional sports as a child, yet I was overweight. I used to walk miles and miles per day and starve myself, yet I was the same weight. Once I spent 3 months eating nothing but a yoghurt per day, and I did not lose a single pound. I can also eat as much as I want and gain nothing, and after a few years of living with a cook and a totally sedentary lifestyle, I had gained a few pounds and become a couchpotato. Mind you, I've weighed roughly the same amount (75kgs) since I was 10, with the least I've weighed being around 70 and the most around 80; I don't fluctuate much.

I've moved to Japan recently and I've noticed that portions are huge, fatty, expensive and sugary here in Japan, so it's why I started counting calories to keep myself in track. While I'm at it, I've decided to become somewhat healthier. Get some of my muscle back. Improve my posture. Give up smoking. Eat better and cheaper. I don't want to make my life revolve around this; I just want to get an overall better performance.

Maybe lose some weight in the process?! It would be nice :P.

My Goals:
Quitting Smoking: Progress so far

My Program:
Have a 10-15 minute workout session each day.
Stick to less than 1600cals/day. Meet protein requirements.
Spulrge on food when i feel like it, but not too often (2-3 times a month at most). Only for social outings.
Eat less sweets.
Try out delicious washoku without overding it.

Personal Information:
I'm from Romania, but I live in Japan now. I've never been truly overweight, but coming from a country with the lowest obesity rate in the EU and moving to a country renown for its skinniness is not helping my self-esteem (though frankly, they're not as bad as the internet has warned me).
I'm a bookworm interested in social justice.
