I want to be fit for life

My name's Christina. Let's just say I've been weight-conscious since I was a teenager. All the women in my family are heavy and I want to be fit and healthy, not tired, out of shape and heavy. My weight's gone up and down through the years.
I'm pretty consistent with exercise, but it's the food part that gets me off track.
I've already read some of the member Spark Pages and I feel such a kinship. I'm really hoping this will help me reach my goals.

My Goals:
Get to my goal weight - currently 150 lbs. (We'll see how my body actually feels when I get closer.)

Complete a 5K. (done 05/01/11)

Buy a pair of skinny jeans . . . and look GOOD in them! (done)

Get through a vacation without gaining weight.

My Program:
I am using the BodyMedia Fit armband (similar to what is used on Biggest Loser) to track my calories out and I log what I eat to track my calories in.

Generally, I get in at least an hour of exercise 6 days a week.


Other Information:
I'm originally from South Dakota, now living in Nevada. I practice tae kwon do, love to read and like anything to do with Marilyn Monroe.

Thanks for commenting on my 5k blog! You know what's funny about that race? I had no clue they gave "finishing" metals! Lol! You can sure tell who the rookie is, huh! Yes, I think I'm hooked! I want to do it again! I also want to do a Mud Run! Lol! That looks soo FUN! Next time we race in the same event, we will have to meet up at the finish line!
