A whole new life

A few years ago, I weighed over 230 lbs. I've lost a lot since then, but I always have to struggle to not let the scale creep up. I recently left my job to go back to school and I want to take the extra time I have to create a healthier lifestyle for myself and my family. Both of my daughters are overweight and I hate that they are insecure about their bodies at such a young age.

My Goals:
I want to be more physically fit. My goal is to find a physical activity that I really enjoy, maybe a sport, and get good at it. I want to set a good example for my kids so that they know exercise is fun, not a punishment.

My Program:
I've changed our lifestyle. Our family has always celebrated with food, rewarded with food, and turned eating into an experience instead of all the other activities that we could be enjoying together.

Personal Information:
We originally come from OH but we've been in TX over 8 years and it is home to us. My husband and I have been married for almost 13 years and we have 4 beautiful children together, ages 13, 10, 7, and 3.

Other Information:
My philosophy on life is that happiness is a choice. There is always something bad that you could focus on, but there are many more good things. Choose the positive, be positive.

It is ok, I understand you are busy. I have been busy with working the last 3 days. So May 7th it is then. I guess we could start with like a walk/run routine. I will ask my trainer at boot camp if she has any suggestions also. I don't sot see her until Friday though. I am not a runner either and have been trying to run more myself. I will talk to more people to see how we can start training for this. I am so excited about it.

I had a good time walking with you too. I was shocked to see how fast the time flew by. I would love to be ready to do a 5k by May, but with it being cold I don't think I will go outside to run any lol. I am not sure if the treadmill will help me prepare for it. What do you think?
