Wedding Day Sept. 2009
My Husband and I Summer of 2007, when I graduated Massage School
Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I am 29, I have an amusing, adorable 6 year old son, and a very hot Husband. ;)
I have lost a good amount of weight in the past, but gained it back and then some being in school, and beyond, with the realization that school wasn't getting me anywhere. I've tried countless times to lose weight by eating natural whole foods, though I hate tracking my food, so that was often not apart of the equation. I also apparently have a very warped perception of portion control. So now, I just want to try harder. This is the heaviest I've ever been in my life, and I'd like to feel...like I can breathe again. I will start by taking baby steps and attainable goals. Long term though, I'd like to get to 145 pounds.
And I would like to meet some supportive friends along the way! :) I love Tea, Knitting, Making Natural Body Products, Baking, Yoga, Massage, Crafting, Indian Food, Music & Wine.
To Cook More, Learn Healthy Habits, To Be More Active, To take small steps, and stick to them.
So far, I am tracking my foods, and trying to go for walks during my lunches at work, eating natural & organic!

I actually just made a new blog post about getting myself out of my rut.
I'm still a little in my rut, but I'm making positive changes. I'm not yet at the point of feeling more energy or feeling healthier exactly, but I'm sure it'll come soon.

Hey girl, I read your blog and I just wanted to check in with you. I hope things are going a little better for you., it seems like you're going through a rough patch right now. Times like these, it's good to concentrate on the healthy lifestyle you have managed to maintain rather than those danged numbers on the scale, though I know that's so much easier said than done. Progress can be measured in so many ways, without ever looking at the scale. If you are eating better and exercising, I'm sure you FEEL better than you did before right? Are you noticing you have more energy than before? Are you more likely to choose the healthier option when given the choice? That's progress all in its own! You're gonna be just fine girl. If you want to make a change, it will happen. You just have to want it bad enough,

SparkPeople is something like a in some ways - it's lots of fun and easy to make friends because we're all in this together. I like the way a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE is emphasized - it's about waaaaaay more than 'just' losing weight!
There are tutorial videos under the HELP section that can show you how to use the features of the site.
If you haven't discovered The Spark book and/or the SparkDiet linked at the bottom of the START page, check them out - the program is simple but extremely effective. There is a TON of information on this site - so much it might even seem overwhelming but fortunately we don't have to 'digest' everything at once!
Take a few baby steps and then a few more and before you know it, you'll have completed a long journey - I hope you enjoy this community as much as I do - it teaches us how to make positive lifetime changes because that's the only thing that will work over time!
