Doing it all over again, this time-for the last time!

I am a SUGARHOLIC

It may not be a medical term, but mentally, emotionally and physiologically it effects every aspect of my being. To make this the final time I need to restart down this path (again) I am going to take the steps, one at a time, to build a healthier and happier life for myself and those around me.

This pity party for one is OVER and I will no longer drown my spirit in food and sugar.

Made it through January. It was a bit warmer than usual but I was putting in so many hours at work I hardly had time to notice. I've started walking at the local mall. One round is 1/2 mile. It's a bit boring but not cold so it's working for me. I put in 5 miles today!

Looks like there are a lot more members on the Paleo team. More activity which is good. I was glad to see you post there and on my page emoticon

Add the Chocolate Babbka to the Hot Chocolate and the warmed up chocolate Brownie and we've got a heck of a Paleo cheat emoticon

My daughter-in - law gave me the cookbook 'Plenty' by Yotam Ottolenghi. It is a beautiful book and Vegetarian like she is. Unfortunately many of the recipes have grains in them. But the food is so beautiful and exotic looking that I find myself drawn to it. I am hoping that once summer comes and my garden is in full swing that I can adapt some of these recipes to make them Paleo friendly. I guess when we have our own unique approach to food that is what we have to do in the end - adapt our recipes. I just wish I had a better knowledge of cooking science. I'm kind of glad that I did not feel good eating very low carb. I really do like my veggies.
