I've been unhappy about my weight and my lack of fitness for at least a couple of years, but haven't seemed to be able to continue whatever I've started to make changes. A friend recently posted a link on Facebook about the Diva's Half Marathon in May 2012, and I just thought that would be some serious motivation to get me moving. So . . . ...

My Goals:
1) Complete C25K training
2) Eat less calories, more vegetables/fruits!
3) Add some strength training to my schedule
4) Lose 30 lbs - by when, I'm not sure.

My Program:
1) I downloaded a C25K podcast training, and I'm in the middle of week 1. My day 3 run is tomorrow morning.
2) I've been tracking everything I eat for the last 2 weeks - I had no idea I've been eating so much.
3) I've been educating myself on nutrition & exercise by reading sparkpeople articles

"Though no one else can guarantee your success, you can guarantee it by making the commitment to do whatever you must do.
You can guarantee it with your intention, your focus, your action and your persistence.
Today, tomorrow, in any place, whatever the situation, you can make a difference, for your own life, and for your world.
Grab that opportunity, make the most of it every chance you get, and you'll guarantee your own success."

Aww! Glad I inspired you to keep going! I haven't been on here in about a month...been logging food and exercise on myfitnesspal. How's the C25K going? I'm half way through W6, and I love the program! Who would've ever thought I would be able to run 20 minutes?!? =)
