Finding Myself

Hey Everyone! My name is Alison and I'm a somewhat new Sparker. I've been on and off the program since April 2009. I know it works, because when I do stick with it, I see results. But the hard part is sticking with it.
I held a steady size throughout high school and in 4 years of college, I went up maybe 7 pounds. But what few good habits and activity levels I had then are now gone! Looking at pictures, I can see that it began when I met my husband...not that he's to blame at all! I ...

I held a steady size throughout high school and in 4 years of college, I went up maybe 7 pounds. But what few good habits and activity levels I had then are now gone! Looking at pictures, I can see that it began when I met my husband...not that he's to blame at all! I always rolled my eyes at friends and relatives that claimed how much harder it was to maintain a weight or size once in a serious relationship - but boy, were they right!
i'm here, ready to find myself, get reacquainted with her, and introduce her to my husband - because he didn't know her for very long. I miss her!

-Use calorie cycling occasionally to ward off plateaus

-Walk the dogs every day

Thanks for the add! I appreciate what you said about infertility. One of the reasons I made my page public again was because I realized that there are people who may find what I'm going through helpful, and having been through it once, I realize how lonely it can be. I still need to think about maybe concealing my identity a bit better, but I think for now it's better to leave my page open.

Chances are that you will not struggle with infertility, so please don't worry! If you do find yourself having difficulty, talk to the doctor sooner rather than later. Also, it's a good idea to pay attention to your body's signs of ovulation (temperature and, erm--other things--there are books), because if you have a track record of your attempts and your body's signals, it will let you know if there is a problem early on. But really, trying is supposed to be FUN! So enjoy it!
