Giving up is NOT an option...

I'm Christie! I am 5 feet and 3 inches short and I am 19 years young. :) I have been overweight my whole life. I have tried many, many diets and ways of eating and the only one that has ever worked for me is Atkins. I don't eat no sugar, no bread, no pasta, no starchy vegetables, stuff like that. I do eat a lot of salads and low carb vegetables. I have got down to almost half of my weight loss goal!! Oh yeah, I exercise 3 times a week. I do Tae Bo Cardio and I love it!! I have learned ...

My Goals:

-Buy an outfit at JCPenney when I hit mid-way goal.

My Program:
-Atkins, the only one that works for me...

-I usually eat 3 times per day not unless I get a little hungry in between meals then I will have a low carb snack.

-I mostly eat salads, and other vegetables. One thing I like the most about Atkins is if I want a steak or a hamburger, I can have it...I just can't have the bread...and no calorie counting either! :)

-I can eat fast food but when I do I usually get a side salad and throw out the carrots and I get some sort of meat to top it off.

-I drink plenty of water. I have always been the type to drink A LOT, so I get about 10 to 14 cups a day! No sodas for me.

-I DO NOT eat sugars, breads, pastas, or starchy vegetables.

-Most importantly, I have a wonderful husband that keeps me alive (basically) and going on the right path. My dog Tinkerbell also helps me with getting motivated and taking walks!

-I stand 5 feet and 3 inches.

-I'm 19 years young.

-Known as Mrs. Ci~Ci.

-Got married to the love of my life and dreams on September 27, 2008!

That's about it for now.

Other Information:
-I'm very carb sensitive, that is why Atkins works best for me.

It's challenge time again diva! August is coming to an end and that means a brand new team challenge for September. School is starting back up again and many of us are also getting ready to commit to ourselves full time again. Buon Giorno Diva!!!

The weekend is just about here. How are you going to spend it? Falling off the wagon or staying on and holding tight? I found a great quote that rings true to all those small things we do. Think about that when making food choices this weekend. Have a good one!

Ain't that the truth? Too many times we're all looking at the big picture on not focusing on the little things that make the big picture possible. Take time to look at the little things each day because those little things when put together will bring the success in the end. So when you tell yourself that one piece won't hurt or that you'll eat better tomorrow, stop yourself and make the healthier and the right choice. We have to start somewhere, why not start right now? Let's conquer the dreaded weekend and make it happen this time. We can all do it! Ciao!

My Diva Two Cents: Too many time we're always wanting it to happen right now. We watch the weight loss shows and see those big numbers each week and wonder why we can't do that. Be realistic in your goals. Instead of always saying I lost a pound or two, rejoice in that. Every bit no matter how big or small that you contribute to your weight loss journey will lead you to success at the end.

My Diva Two Cents: There are so many things that hold us back and many of them are wrapped up in our heads. It's time to not just put aside the negative talk, but to banish it completely from you mind. Put a stopper in that and focus on the positive things that you're doing. Make the choice today to start living your life the healthy way you've always wanted it to be. Be positive and focus on making your journey a success.
