Simple healthy living
I want to be healthier. I have always been overweight and I would like to have more energy a fully experience life. MY MANTRA: I refuse to go on a Diet anymore. I want to be healthier. I have always been overweight and I would like to have more energy a fully experience life. MY MANTRA: I refuse to go on a Diet anymore. I spent about 20 years being overweight. It is crazy to think going on a 1 or 2 month “diet” will change me for the rest of the life. No fad or product will work either. In order to be healthy I need to change my lifestyle. I need to put my needs before the superficial concerns of society and the media. They will never value my happiness or health. They want to sell me things that may not benefit me. I want to live my life, be happy and share my love and blessings with others. This will not happen until I love and respect myself. Therefore, I will put good foods into my body. It will make me physically and mentally healthy. I will not eat to cover emotional pain. I will rely on my friends and spouse. I will also be there when they need me. I will also enjoy less then healthy choices in moderation and when I do, it will be my choice to eat it not habit or emotions. I will also be more active. I will let my body do what it was made to do, put effort into what is hard and respect my body’s limits, but still challenge myself. I will watch less stupid TV shows. It keeps me from doing things that I enjoy more. I will try to learn more everyday. How will I do this? I will make small changes until they become new habits. Simple things like eating healthy snacks, drinking less pop, and more veggies. I will call a friend when I feel down. I will buy healthy snacks, measure food until I am used to what a portion size is. I will get involved in physical activities. I will concentrate on what is positive and try to change the negative. I will not read magazines that reinforce negative images and read more books that promote my new goals. I will belong to supportive communities like Sparkpeople and its Sparkteams. Of course, I am in the middle of my path for this journey. But I plan to experience each step until I reach my goals.

My Goals:
2013 1) Yoga/meditaion- i have had serious attitude/willpower issues in 2011. I need to meditate/journal more so i can be more aware of things that are interfering with me reaching goals. This will not only help me with stress, but there are those little issues that have been building up and i have not been dealing with them to the point to where i will just get too mad and respond incorrectly. 2) add more intensity in my exercise and strength training- i bought no more trouble zones, i plan to do 30 day shred 2x this year. i signed up for the 30 day jump start team (january challenge). i also have a couple other dvd's that will help to establish a regular strenght routine 3) i want to lose 30 lbs - exercise with more intensity, strenght train more often, do not avoid ab work, follw meal plan for suppers better. portion control, stop eating when i am full or not hungry. don't eat unhealthy things i don't like because they are easy or "comfort" goals 1 &2 should h
My Program:
i am active daily. I walk about 20 miles a week. i will do my 1 minute yoga challenges and i also want to get back to doing strength training 2-3 days a week and increase my focus and intensity. Mindful eating - be aware when i am full, of cravings and portions
