While I have not been active on the site since Sept due to circumstances, I am still doing my best to eat healthier and get in my some form of daily exercise.

Feb 16- this week I am going to take some time to track my diet and fitness and get to know Sparks better.

My Goals:
To be healthy and physically strong.

Learn all I can about nutrition.

Learn to be patient with myself....try to break the 'all or nothing' habit into an adventure of sticking with something until finished!

Trying change in baby steps.

Goal for wk #1
Stop drinking diet soda.

My Program:
1. Portion control, eating what I want but staying in the higher end of my calorie range.
2. Ride my exercise bike for 10 mins five times a week.
3. Live with intention. Say no when I want to, choose wisely and take responsibility for the nutritional decisions I make.
4. Track my intake
5. To learn how to ask for and receive support from others when I need it.

Personal Information:
I retired from nursing six years ago and have gained over 65 lbs since my life became more sedentary. I am married to a wonderful supportive man and have a senior pooch who is dying to get out for a walk.

Other Information:
I love travelling, quilting, reading and working in my garden. I used to love walking an hour a day after my shift at work and would love to get to the place where I could do this again without the pain of arthritis. I have started doing Paul Eugene's chair exercises on you tube and love them! I hope to get fully through his 30 min workout all at once by the end of Feb!
