Here I am...to start over again.

Why do I keep doing this to myself?! I've got to stop this yo-yo dieting. I was within 10 pounds of my goal, and I lost control...or did I sabotage myself? I did have leg surgery in December and just recently found out I have a torn tendon in my knee, but I am not really a fan of having another surgery...but I've also been eating like a pig.

My husband and I had to go to a health screening fair for our insurance today, and I couldn't believe how much weight I have gained since ...

It's a healthy sign that you are reaching out here on Spark. There are many here who has started and re-started many times, you're never alone. Logging on here and doing a small thing towards health every day helps me when I feel down. It also helps me a lot to write, so blogging is a good idea if that appeals to you.
If you can't seem to get restarted, lower your expectations and set a tiny goal that you CAN reach. I promise it'll make you feel better to do _something_ towards your goal, and it will be progress compared to doing nothing.
When I started over two years ago, I set my goal to walk for 15 minutes. It motivated me to move further when I saw that it was possible, it gave me incredible momentum to just keep going.
Best of luck with surgery, I haven't been through that, but I'm sure it can be scary. I hope it's nothing serious. emoticon emoticon
