Not feeling healthy.

My goals is to loose 35 lbs. If I don't get there it is fine as long as I can feel healthier. I have never weighed over 140lbs except when I was pregnant I got up to 157. I stepped on a scale and it read 173lbs. EEEKK! I knew my clothes were tight and I refuse to buy new ones. I gained my weight after a hystorectomy and a career change that put me at a desk all day. I was feeling tired all the time and struggling to stay awake through the day. I knew 8 diet cokes a day was not a good thing. ...

I have only done two officially timed 5km. 36 min with my son and two grandson (three generations and 56 min walking with gramie, she came in second to last I came in last.

My first offical 10km was 53:37, and it was faster than the first un-offical time I had for a 5km when I could first run the whole distance.

I say, "Speed and distance are about training and genetics, being a runners is about having heart!"

Don't worry about your time, enjoy running and enjoy the slow progress you will make as you continue to practice
