Mother of 3 looking to celebrate her 41st birthday feeling good about myself!

And I DID celebrate my 41st Birthday being really happy with my body, and much happier with myself as a whole.

The beginning of this year I had decided to look after myself for the sake of my family and children, and myself of course. I wanted to like what I am looking at in the mirror again! And I wanted to change my eating habits for the better once and for all. Thanks to Spark I achieved my first goal and lost 13kgs, and it feels great.

I am looking to lose a bit more again, because it feels right, and for the first time ever I have the confidence that I can really do this. Why not reach for the size you always wanted?? I am! And then no more 'Diets'!! Just enjoying a healthier life!

I want to be a role model for my children growing up, who I have the pleasure to stay home with every day.

I read that a BMI of 22 is one of the healthiest to have, and this is where I am heading with my final goal weight.

Last but not least, thank you to all my Spark Friends for being there with me!! It means so much to know somebody out there cares about your achievements, thank you!!!

My Goals:
By my birthday in May I would like to be mostly there with my weight goal weighing around 70kgs. (I made it down to 67.5kgs) The next step is to get down to 63 by the end of the summer, if possible, and be no heavier than 65kgs still by Christmas. And for good actually. Then adios to Diets for once and for all!

My Program:
Tracking my food everyday and exploring new healthier cooking and eating habits.Taking our dog out for a walk every work day, for an hour each time. Determined to start Yoga (started and loving it!). Looking to train the dog to run with me eventually (I think she will be able to). And taking any other opportunity to play teamsports with friends, like Softball in the parents team, or Volleyball with my friends when the opportunity is there.

Personal Information:
Born in Austria, I call more than one place my home: I lived in New York for 9 years, moved to Ireland for the following 11 years, and ended up back where I started in Austria, with my lovely husband and 3 beautiful children (ages 5, 8 and 10)

Oh I had a blast at Easter too though. Farrr too much of a blast! You should be thankful that it was only 1kg...I couldn't bear to step on the scale on Monday cos if I even only gained 2kg it would have been a miracle! Even if some was water weight, I just didn't even want to see it. I'm going to do everything right this week and next, and then step back on the scale on 23rd April and hopefully by then the scale should at LEAST be back to what it was last Monday lol I know it's cowardly, but I don't want that darn scale to put me off my flow, you know what I mean.

Here's to putting the Easter indulgence behind us and carry on Sparking emoticon

Hey friendy! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Do you know what, I am definitely not the type of person to preach any particular eating approach to anyone. I truly believe that everyone has to find what suits them. For me, the low carb approach has hit the nail right on the head. You should really look into it, and do some reading on it. I've never ever felt better in my life and this is truly just effortless (well, 98% of the time anyway). Have a low carb dinner is a great way to start. Have a look at my tracker if you ever want any ideas. Let me know how you go.

Hahaha thanks for the compliment about my weight loss! You can talk, with your 10kg loss already! Amazing! It's friends like you who keep me going strong on here. I know we're all in this together and that really makes me want to succeed every single day. So thanks for being my Spark friend.

Thanks for visiting my blog about my "Twitter exchange", and letting me know that I was not being over-sensitive!!! My brother and his girlfriend both mentioned to me that they had seen what he was saying, and apparently SPD is the same way to his girlfriend and she's always calling up my brother moaning about how he treats her!!! Guess he's got issues of his own. I gotta pity him and ignore him!

Ahhhh it would have been great to have a bootcamp buddy...no one wanted to do it with me and I ended up losing out on the deal! I don't think I'm confident enough yet to go by myself! Hopefully if it ever comes up again, I'll be able to snap it up by myself and go by myself! Working towards that.

Thank you! It's a conscious effort every day, but we will get there. Just trying to make every day count. And if it doesn't, then every day is a new day. We gotta just keep on keeping on!
