I thank my precious Abba Father (Creator God) for all He has allowed, is allowing, & will allow in my life! May all the glory for any modest successes achieved on this lifestyle changing journey be His & His alone! Amen & Amen!

Life is good - it always has been - however, there is a special new sweetness to it since I determined to stop playing around & get serious about following my program.

Like I said - life is good!

P.S. ~

The 'Twin Visitors" photograph was taken in early July. I looked out the window & had the pleasant experience of being eye-to-eye with one of them. Their Mama was right with them in the trees outside the window. They were so adorably cute!

My dearly treasured "Mr.V" quickly got the camera & took a few photographs. I think it is so cute how one seems to be posing for the picture to be snapped, while his twin is eagerly following their Mama!

My Program:
For now:

Keeping abstinence!

My son told me about some principle of doing the hardest thing first. I try to get my most hated chores out of the way first.. Eat The Frog! 3 Reasons You Should Do The Hardest Things First

My mother would say, "Clean your plate so we will have a pretty day tomorrow." I will ask for a doggy bag when we go to a restaurant and don't eat everything.

Talk about wasting food. We went through our canned goods today and I had many that were past their use by dates. I also threw away two zucchini. I don't like this practice. Hubby does the grocery shopping and if I need one can of something, he will buy more than I need. We don't have a compost pile, but I have trouble using a head of lettuce and vegetables. It is all or nothing with him. I wrote the vegetables allowed on my diet and he bought all of them at once.

Jeanne Robertson "Don't send a man to the grocery store!"

I guess I am not the only woman that has this problem. This lady is one of my favorite comedians.

Little Gal is so fortunate to have you and Mr. V as her owners.

When we adopted Crellie, she had a broken tooth. She didn't seem to have any discomfort from it and ate normally. It eventually fell out. It was one of her large incisors.

I am so glad that Little Gal came through okay. I like to go out with my husband once a month on a date day/night. We write 12 things we would like to do and put them into a container and pull one out on the first of each month. We don't always have the financial means to go to places where it costs us to go, but there are other suggestions in the container that are free. It is fun and a surprise.

Our son wanted us to go to Raystown Lake in Pennsylvania over Labor Day weekend. We wanted to go to a Bible conference in North Carolina, but with getting the dog and paying for her veterinary care, then the bill coming for the heat pump, we are broke until September 1.

I drove my van to church on Sunday and the air-conditioning is out. In another month I won't need it anyway and then I can save up for the repair. It is a 1995 Dodge Caravan.
