Toadally Ready to Get Smaller
I have a long way to go, and I know the road will be a tough one. But, I am moving on and keeping up my momentum. May 2008 thru Dec 2008 - 75 pounds lost (145 pounds left to lose) As of March 2009 - 100 pounds lost (120 pounds left to lose) This is my mantra: "If you keep on doing what you've always been doing, You're always going to have what you've already got." I have a long way to go, and I know the road will be a tough one. But, I am moving on and keeping up my momentum. May 2008 thru Dec 2008 - 75 pounds lost (145 pounds left to lose) As of March 2009 - 100 pounds lost (120 pounds left to lose) This is my mantra: "If you keep on doing what you've always been doing, You're always going to have what you've already got." Since I am not happy with what I have, it is MY responsibility to make the changes I need to achieve what I want in this life. "People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily." - Zig Ziglar "Walking is the best possible exercise. Habituate yourself to walk very far." - Thomas Jefferson (1743 - 1826), U.S. President Just so I don't forget, I am reposting what I wrote on a Springfield Sparkers thread: On 'Motivation' versus 'Intent': I have to say that I am not motivated. I have intent. I intend to accomplish these goals. When I am asked how I keep from losing motivation, I stumble for an answer. I don't have motivation, so much as I just know where I am going and I have a plan to get there. I may get lost on the journey, but I still intend to get to where I am headed. I am inspired often by people I have met along the way, and that keeps me strong in my intent. When I see someone doing what I want to do, I think to myself, "I want to be like her!" I will be one of those people that you read about in the magazines, or see on the news. I will be one of those people who lost 200 pounds without surgery or crazy drugs. I will do it the right way, and I will be better for it, because I will have learned along the way how to live as a thin, healthy person lives, and I will never have to 'diet' again. I intend to accomplish this goal if it takes me 2 years, or another decade. The end date is not near as important as the goal itself. --------*--------*--------*--------*---- ----*--------*--------*--------*--------* DON'T QUIT (copied from a Spark Friend's page) When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down, And you feel like the biggest failure in town. When you want to give up just because you gave in, And forget all about being healthy and thin. So what! You went over your points a bit, It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit! It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change. It's learning the skills to get back in your range. It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now. You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow." It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal. You're still gonna make it, just stay in control. To stumble and fall is not a disgrace If you summon the will to get back in the race. But, often the strugglers, when loosing their grip, Just throw in the towel and continue to slip. And learn too late when the damage is done, That the race wasn't over...they still could have won. Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow, But facing each challenge will help you grow. Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint in a cloud of doubt. When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit, If you bite it, you write it...But DON'T YOU QUIT! -Author Unknown

My Goals:
This may sound silly to some of you, but I just want to find my face again. It seems to be gone, deep inside this body of mine, and it no longer has a look of its own. I want to lose a total of 220 pounds. Starting weight: 375 - May 2008. My ticker will only reflect my smaller goals until I am close to the big one. Slow and steady wins the race!
My Program:
Starting now, the second week of May 2008, I am decreasing portion sizes, documenting all my food intake and counting all my calories. I am choosing healthy foods, no more fast foods, and reading all nutrition labels. Fat content is very important to me, and I want as little of it as possible. And veggies are my FRIENDS!
Personal Information:
I love to embroider (I have an embroidery machine), scrapbook and take tons and tons of photographs.
